Carrying on...
Hamilton may become the super celebrity's best kept secret. In recent months, a section of downtown Hamilton was modified for shooting of the movie The Incredible Hulk, due to be released in 2008 (Liv Tyler was here! Oooh, pinch me!). The filming was only at night since that was the kind of shots they were doing: building explosions, car bombs and the like. Michael Douglas came here for a fundraiser last week (pulleeeze, ladies, get off the floor...). Former U.S. President Bill Clinton did a speech on economics in Niagara-on-the-Lake on Monday (OK, so it's a 45 minute drive down the Niagara peninsula; but it's not in Toronto and Hamilton is the nearest major city, so it counts). Honestly, Ol' Bill still has that mega charm when even a hardened union politco like Buzz Hargrove is impressed.
Where's my shades!? Where's my agent?

With that husband of yours, Cheryl, who needs Michael Douglas, right?
No promises on scintilating or deep blogs; things are slow around here lately. BTW, what reminder??

The notices are my reminder.

Thanks for stopping by my art blog, and for your comment.
By the way, I've been to Hamilton, ooo about 17 years ago now. Stayed with relatives who lived on Ottawa St South....I liked it there. Toronto I found overwhelming as it was so HUGE and v busy lol.
LOVED Niagra. Would love to visit again one day.
Bye for now, and nice to meet you...
Stella

The art blog comment is duly noted. Thank you.
I moved to Hamilton from London (Ontario) about 4.5 years ago. One thing that is rarely mentioned here is the abundance of natual beauty. The area I live in (East Hamilton Mountain) overlooks the whole city and provides a lovely view at night. Sunrises over Lake Ontario are also quite lovely. My apartment is a 15 minute walk to my local churh. God has been good in providing a great community. The renowned Royal Botanical Gardens are regularly advertised but very few people know there are over 13 Conservation Areas INSIDE the city limits!!
It was my intention to photograph one Conservation Area per week this past summer and highlight them in my photos section. The car died in early August, so only a few shoots have been done. They will be posted soon - honest.
Keep up your work and I'll keep in touch now and again..
Henry
