Face forward - even if not moving forward

A man and his tools...

,

I used to pride myself on taking care of my tools. They were my lifeblood and source of income. A blue-handled Fuller Philips #2 screwdriver was my favourite. It never failed to undo any screw it's tip got a bite on. One day years ago I lost it. Obviously I misplaced it somewhere, but couldn't remember where. That hadn't happened in over 20 years (it took over 20 years to even break one of my cheapest tools - a 3/8" drive ratchet).

When over at a fellow's place last Sunday, I asked one of his sons if he could get me a Philips screwdriver so I could open up his sister's computer. Lo and behold, he handed me the cherished Fuller. Now it's back home safe and sound with it's bretheren. happy

Thanks Javean. It's not just about having tools, it's about having a particular one that never seems to fail to do it's job. This was a cheapie bargain tool that certainly paid for itself thousands of times over!

I do understand. My dad was an instrumentation technician, and tools were his life. He had a yellow handed screwdriver he felt the same way about
