This candle burns in memory of Spots who died in my arms today, July 22, 2010, and went from my arms into the arms of his angel...and is now with Almighty God for all eternity. He taught me how to live out loud and laugh out loud and how to die with grace, dignity and courage.
Spots, my precious little sweetheart...we will be together again when I come home to heaven. Me and daddy love you so very much! Can't wait to hold you in my arms once again.

A PRAYER FOR ANIMALS
Hear our humble prayer, O God, for our friends the animals, especially for animals who are suffering; for animals that are overworked, underfed and cruelly treated; for all wistful creatures in captivity that beat their wings against bars; for any that are hunted or lost or deserted or frightened or hungry; for all that must be put to death. We entreat for them all Thy mercy and pity, and for those who deal with them we ask a heart of compassion and gentle hands and kindly words. Make us, ourselves, to be true friends to animals and so to share the blessings of the merciful.[/Color][/Size]

There is nothing scary about the video here, so anyone can watch it; there's nothing troubling in it. It has a happy ending too. "Rainbow" is one of my Facebook friends. She was abused at a puppy mill. She was bred again and again while paralyzed. Well, you can read her story for yourself. She is going through a true MIRACLE now. Due to some wonderful people who are helping her, she is going to be able to be adopted sometime in March and she is no longer in any pain. Let me introduce myself. I'm Spots. I am a family cat with an attitude and strong opinions; I weigh in at 40 pounds (I do some boxing) and proud of it...no one messes with me. I reside in a good Christian home with my both parents and 4 brothers. I'm very happy...we all are. I get fed before I'm even hungry and get my belly rubbed on a consistent basis. I'm kept nice and warm in winter and cool in summer. What more could a cat want? My mom and dad allowed me to have this blog, so, I'll be regularly writing my opinions on stuff and if you want my opinion on anything, please ask. Daddy and I went out in our backyard
to sit with you
In The place where daddy so bravely and tearfully buried
Your sweet little self.
Yes, in the backyard,
where you loved to watch the birdies...
and got all excited about the occasional skunk...
the squirrels and the ravens...
the trees as they swayed with the wind...
and all the other majesty of God's creation.
I think,
My little sweetheart,
That all of God's creatures
Have a really special and direct connection with our God
That most humans just don't get.
You so enjoyed even the littlest of things
That life brought before your beautiful eyes.
How very little it took to love you
And to make you happy.
You never demanded anything from me or daddy.
All you ever craved was our love

of course,
your food :-)
In the midst of my uncontrollable weeping,
Daddy asked me,
If I would like to join him
And sit next to your grave.
I said "yes", as you already know.
As I sat next to you,
