Bamboo

I thought that I would share with everyone, some of the poems that I wrote the other day, on another user's photo album. I liked the pictures, and they just inspired me to write about them. This picture of the Panda is actually hanging on my bedroom wall.
BAMBOO
Bamboo Bamboo,
What a funny looking plant,
Green on the outside,
Hollow on the inside,
But food and furniture it becomes.
Bamboo in all its glory be,
Let the sun rays through,
If only a little at a time,
So that every part of it,
Feels the suns warm rays.
For the endangered Pandas,
Bamboo means life,
Lets hope for all Pandas,
They never lose their bamboo.

I must thank you in representation of the pandas in China...... The bamboo they're relying on is slowly dying out as the environment is being damaged... Though measures been taken, it remains to see whether it's working...
Bamboo is a very popular plant in China. I've got one mini bamboo planted in my little pot. But this month it has a new branch and it has grown to my roof in 10 days...... Some say it'll be only one night had I lived in the southern part of China and had better earth in the pot.
But the species of bamboo the pandas are eating is rare and hard to plant...... Amen.

as for your question, it may sound better if you put "it has grown to my roof", to which i will change it for you.
but, you r still learning, and that is a plus that you ask if something sounds correct or not.
let me know what you think of the new wording.
