My Own Tool Bar

Sorry Opera, but it won't install yet on your browser. For those using Firefox or IE, you can dowload my FREE tool bar. I made it myself. It has some of my favorite sites on it, and includes other places as well. If you would like to see other items in the "Your Menu" links list please let me know and give me the address of the site you want added. I will be more than glad to add it to the tool bar, and you get automatic updates on it as well.

Go to MY TOOL BAR to get your free download.

I will try to get it to work with Opera as soon as possible.

Please be patient with me.

None of the toolbars on that site will work in Opera in their current form. Opera does support custom toolbars however. One such example is the StumbleUpon.com Tools, which were written by yours truly.

If you know how to make custom buttons for Opera, you can make such a toolbar your self via drag and drop in Opera. Try having a look at the source code and the custom buttons and figure out how to make your own.

Your bookmarks is a perfect place to store custom buttons you've made for your toolbar, BTW.

What? There is no toolbar generator for Opera. You have to write the toolbars manually. The StumbleUpon.com tools were written by editing .ini files in the toolbar and menu folders in the opera profile.

oh ok....i don't know how to do that. i used a program on that site to make my tool bar.

Ok. Here's a little hint to get you going. Start with a fresh toolbar layout from the Opera settings, then add this to a bookmark in the URL field:

opera:/button/Set alignment, "Document view toolbar", 6, "View bar", "View" | Set alignment, "Document view toolbar", 0 , "View"

Give it the name of your toolbar. Now drag the bookmark then Shift + drop it on a toolbar.

Now click it. You can add search fields, bookmarks and custom buttons to the toolbar that should appear. You can also add menus, but this will require you to figure out how to write a menu.
