BEWARE OF THE BITCH

ANOTHER BITE

, , , ,

I took a nap yesterday afternoon, while Jaxs was out doing stuff in town. When I woke up, I had this "bite" on my arm, just above my wrist.

This is a picture of the bite.

Anyone have any ideas what could have made that bite. We haven't seen any spiders in the room, and I don't think an ant can make that big of spots or 2 perfectly aligned spots, and we have never had a snake wind up in the bedroom. So if you have any suggestions as to what could have done this bite, please let me know. I'd really like to narrow it down.

This is taken with my cell phone, so quality is not that great, but at least you get the idea of what it looks like.

Thanks Everyone.

it looks quite far apart. sherlock.
A spider is the most likely explanation although if the two marks are as far apart as they appear to be, it would have to be a huge spider. It could be two seperate bites from a small insect that are just coincidentally close to each other and seem like one bite.
If this is an isolated incident and there is no swelling or rash associated with the mark, I wouldn't worry too much about it. up.

Some spiders such as a Tarantula have dual fangs and make a bite like that. Spiders are great at hiding, so just because you haven't seen any doesn't mean they are not there. You now live in Florida, and this is semi-tropical with lots of biting insects. Think about all of the sand fleas you encounter at the beach! The main thing is that it not get infected. Don't scratch it, apply Neosporine or other antibiotic creme on the bites at least three times a day until they fade away. I will send you my bill later! bigsmile

New photo taken by Jaxs provided above, showing how close together they actually are.

no swelling or anything, and didn't even feel it. just noticed it when I woke up.

KimberlySqueakeyCat Monday, October 17, 2011 9:05:15 AM

yeah, I know. and what bothers me, is earlier today, I felt something on my chest, and I looked down, and there was a big round red bite there too. I seem to be collecting the "no-see-um's" biters this month.

Sarah angel292005 Monday, October 17, 2011 9:57:43 AM

Kim, spray your room around the edges with bug spray just to make sure! I got a bite last week while at my grandmother's house and I am almost sure it made me sick.

KimberlySqueakeyCat Monday, October 17, 2011 10:21:12 AM

over the last couple of days, Jaxs has found a couple of huge wood spiders. He don't think that they were the culprits, but, he said they were big enough to have left that size bite on my arm. We have not seen any spiders in the room, since before Memorial Day. So it is getting very confusing as to what is biting me.

Also, Jaxs does keep the area sprayed, because of this fact that I am getting bit, and it don't seem to be helping any.

Jaxs Powelleagle4eyes Tuesday, October 18, 2011 8:04:32 PM

L2D2 Wednesday, November 2, 2011 5:11:39 AM

It couldn't be a bedbug could it? yikes They are becoming an epidemic in the U.S. because of all the illegal aliens bringing them in. Hope it isn't.

KimberlySqueakeyCat Wednesday, November 2, 2011 5:52:47 AM

idk. i hope not. what do they look like? i know lately, besides the normal ants that i have been seeing creeping in, i have seen little "white" colored ants.

Jaxs Powelleagle4eyes Friday, November 4, 2011 11:52:00 PM

The little white ants are termites. The rain we have been having brings all kinds of creepy crawlers lol

L2D2 Sunday, November 6, 2011 5:15:53 AM

About the only thing that will kill bedbugs now is high heat. EPA has taken away all the insecticides that would kill them and they have grown resistant to what is available. EPA is one of this country's worst enemies as far as I am concerned.

KimberlySqueakeyCat Sunday, November 6, 2011 6:17:06 PM

jaxs says its not them, so i don't have to worry about that biting me. we think its the ants that keep getting in the house.

Jaxs Powelleagle4eyes Sunday, November 6, 2011 8:54:45 PM

With all the rain it drives all kinds of nice creatures indoors...lol

KimberlySqueakeyCat Sunday, November 6, 2011 10:58:25 PM

yeah, I know. I hate it too. They can go bite someone else, I'm not their food bank.
