If over the years and passing through the corridors of life dreams die, I still keep intact my memory; the salt of rememberance.

From So Long a Letter by Mariama Bå

Of Love and hate

I have known hate and love alike. I have seen hate in the guns of blood-thirsty men in Somalia who detest peace and have dug wells of war where they draw waters of wickedness till date. I have seen hate in the matchets of Rwandan tribalists who woke up on a bright April morning and began the worst genocide the continent of Africa has ever known. I have seen hate in Congo DR where innocent African young girls and women experience the worst forms of rape in the hands of soldiers who are meant to protect them. I have known hate in the Middle East where lives end in their tens each second as suicide bombers struck. I have seen hate everywhere but love have I seen in you my friend. You that have made our peace a priority, you that have watched my back all those years, you that have drawn me back each time I have moved in anger. You that emphasizes how much our world needs peace and co-operation. You are all the peace- loving nations of this world. I love you all.
