Winter, Part 2
Thursday, February 3, 2011 11:24:42 PM
Supposed to snow here overnight and into tomorrow. Last Saturday, it was nearly 80 deg. F.
There's a fairly common saying in Arkansas:
It's about 24 or 25 degrees here now, with a windchill of about 13. Been that way all day.
This is the South. Ain't supposed to be like this.

If you don't like the weather, hang around for a few minutes. It'll change.

Strange weather all over.
I remember when I lived in South Dakota the weather in the summer changed really fast in one day.
Yesterday it was -30 with the wild shield and now today it was 30 some above.

Now that you are on the cold side of the swing, do what you can to stay warm and cozy.

In any case, anything is better than Summer, IMO.

My family had some home movies of Wyoming in the early '60's with snow events similar to this, when I was just an infant. I've never, ever seen anything at all like this, not that I can remember, anyway.

Interesting theory. Arkansas has gotten a lot more earthquakes in the last year or so than it ever has, in places that don't usually record quakes.
Hmmm. Could be.

Last week was about minus ten degrees Celsius but now it is about ten plus and cold wind.

What do you think of your first winter? Did you get to have a snowball fight and build snowpeople?
What a great smilie! That's how I feel right now.
Brrrrrrr!

It's been like that here before, too, Lois.
