Hats off to Turner Classic Movies. Their understated memorial to the events of September 11, 2001, was the best of the lot.
The network invited firemen, police officers, and other first responders of that awful day to come to their studios as guest programmers yesterday and choose their favorite classic movies for airing throughout the day. They shared their memories of the terrorist attacks in New York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.
After church meetings yesterday, I tuned in. It was something.
Turner Classic Movies is a class act.

Regarding what Michael says.. I too hope that TCM stays the same. I know from my own experience in broadcasting industry that when a quality companty comes under the hand of a takeover many fine aspects are lost.
Lovely post, Star

And I share your hopes that the network stays with their format. I like this network better than any other than I have readily available. My TV pretty much stays tuned to TCM.
