SEO - a means to an End.

SEO and Internet Marketing is one of the biggest industries today and it's growing by the day!

Sometimes it's tough to get into, you'll probably have to train yourself, as there aren't any real courses you can take at a college or institution.

It's worth getting into this industry though!

When we speak of SEO there are plenty of Definitions of the term, but it's all just done for one reason, and that reason is Conversion.

Conversion is what we seek. We want visitors of your site to be called to some type of action: "Buy Now", "Register Now".
We want the visitor to convert form "browser" to 'Buyer' or 'client'.

That's what SEO and Internet Marketing is all about.

Remember Conversion is the key!

4x4 – The Fairest of Them All

, ,

Gone are the days when 4x4s used to be farm vehicles.

These days you’re most likely to find these bad boys on tarred roads…not in some mud bath bathing with the hogs.
4x4s have become as stylish as the Italian designer suit their drivers wear. They have become a fashion item so to speak; one season they’re the in thing, the next, they’re outdated; so yesterday – like the ML55 AMG – the 4x4 that paved the way for this rather costly fashion race.

So which 4x4 is the current king of the catwalk; is it the ML63 AMG; the Range Rover Sport maybe?
It’s none of them actually; and it’s not even my favourite of the lot – the X5 4.8is; and it’s definitely not the ugly duckling – the Porsche Cayenne.

Believe it or not, the hottest 4x4, or SUV (as these prima-donnas prefer to be called) is the all American Jeep Cherokee SRT-8 – this monster is as desirable as King Kong, and it’s devastatingly fast; even faster than Usain Bolt – the fastest man on earth.

Financing Your Plastic Surgery just got easier!

, , ,

Plastic surgery and many other elective procedures have previously been restricted to a select few, due to the procedures being largely unaffordable to most people. First Health Finance wants to provide you with the opportunity of improving your self-confidence, letting you be in control of the quality of life you have always wanted and sculpting the body you have always desired. First Health Finance offers solutions for your dreams of a better you.

FHF offers medical loans to individuals looking to have plastic surgery, corrective eye operations, hair restoration and dental procedures. Our financial product is flexible and affordable to most patients, and when combined with their outstanding customer service, you have an experience that is both personally and financially pleasing.

Top Five Medical Procedures

Rhinoplasty: The reshaping of the nose

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure, which is usually performed by a plastic surgeon in order to improve the function [reconstructive surgery] or the appearance [cosmetic surgery] of a person's nose. Rhinoplasty can be performed to meet the aesthetic needs of a patient or for the purpose of reconstructive correction i.e. nasal issues. This can be combined with other surgical procedures like a face-lift to enhance the overall aesthetic results. The procedure can be performed under local or general anesthetic, depending on the complexity of the operation, but Rhinoplasty is considered as a highly safe procedure.

Breast Augmentation: the enlargement of the breasts

With the use of a silicone or saline [salt-water] prosthesis resembling the shape of a woman's breast, a breast augmentation can be performed. The prosthesis is inserted under the patients breast via a small incision for either the purpose of reshaping or enlarging the overall look. Commonly known as a "boob job", breast augmentation remains the number one most performed elective surgery for women. The procedure is safe to perform and recovery time is a matter of hours if all goes well.

Liposuction: The removal of fat directly from the body

Liposuction both contours and removes fat from the "problem areas" most people have issues with when it comes to toning and weight loss. The stomach and thigh areas are the most popular regions' but the neck, arm, back and even the face can all targeted as well. Liposuction is performed using a tube called a cannula, which is inserted via a small incision into the targeted areas. Slowly and safely, the fat is siphoned out. Liposuction is considered a low-effort replacement to actual diet and exercise and due to its inherent dangers [no more than 5kgs a time can be siphoned] and long recovery rate [two-four weeks] not everybody is a good candidate for liposuction.

Blepahroplasty: rejuvenation of the eyes

Bags under the eyes or visual problems are one of the reasons a patient may choose to have a blepahroplasty. Excess skin can sometimes cause a drooping effect of the lids and to correct this, tissue from the eyelids is excised and removed. This gives a tighter and more youthful appearance to the eye and if done for corrective reasons, peripheral vision can be restored as well. A few complications can arise, yet blepahroplasty is still considered a safe surgery.

Facelift: The skin of the face is tightened for a more youthful appearance

A facelift works best in a patient with thin skin and a delicate bone structure. Folds and wrinkles in the skin are eliminated if the procedure is done correctly. An incision is made around the form of the face, the skin is lifted and then the deeper tissues are tightened. The skin is then re-draped and according to the expertise of the surgeon, the face will appear to be more youthful and wrinkle free. Due to men having a thicker skin, a facelift is much easier to perform on woman.

Crappy Public Transport - This might be your best solution!

, , ,

Are you planning a longer stay in South Africa? Whether you are a foreign visitor or a South African citizen here on a visit, you should consider the option of buying a second hand car. Why would you ask do we recommend such an 'extreme' action?

Firstly, you must take into consideration that you will have difficulty getting around in South Africa as public transport is poor and sometimes non existent. When you have your own set of wheels, your own independent transport, you will be able to go anywhere you please, at any time! Whether you’re an explorer who wants to cruise through South Africa and enjoy the beautiful scenery, or whether you just want to be mobile in the city you are visiting- having your own car is just so much better than worrying about kilometers accumulating on a car rental.

Car sales in South Africa and especially car sales with a buyback option in Cape Town are extremely popular. Students, exchange students and interns who need transport for longer periods of time always opt for the car buyback option as it works out much cheaper than renting a car over an extended period of time.

You can buy a car at a car sales dealership in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban or any other of the major cities in South Africa and when its time for you to go back home, you can sell your car again. Now first of all, be sure that if you decide on buying a car at a car sales dealership that you take a buyback deal. With a buyback deal, specifically through Drive Africa, you will get a guaranteed buyback price from the outset no matter what happens and your only other costs would be the petrol, some money for insurance and of course the paperwork.

At Drive Africa we believe that our clients should get the better deal. When you take the buyback option from us, we will offer you car insurance for a shorter period of time- definitely not a deal you’d get from any of the other normal car insurance companies in South Africa.

What makes a great Luxury car?

, , , ...

What does it take to make a luxury car desirable?
Is it form, long contoured lines that flow together in a sort of blissful metallic harmony. Is it design, a shape unlike no other that can be both angular and perfectly round at once. Or is it the mechanics of the vehicle, all working in unison to produce a feeling of speed and control that defies logic. It is all of these factors and more that make a luxury car something else, something truly desirable and a car destined for greatness.

Firstly we have the Aston Martin DB9, designed and manufactured in Europe. Aston has always been the class leader when it comes to European car design, beating our BMW and Mercedes for style and performance. The DB9 was made popular by the new James Bond movies and 007 himself couldn’t pick a more elegant ride. Aside from the beautifully designed aluminium body frame and the V12 Engine, The DB9 has a gear selection system unlike any other. Going beyond tiptronic levers, the DB9 uses a Touchtronic lever where the gear selection is made by pressing on corresponding buttons at each side of the wheel, for a manual drive with an almost automatic feel. With a top speed of close to 300km/h per hour, the DB9 is one sophisticated ride that cannot be contained.

When it comes to luxury vehicles, European design seems to be prevalent. Our next entry is the Rolls Royce Phantom. Only five years old, but already a classic that seems destined to impress for decades to come, the Phantom is every bit the embodiment of the Rolls Royce brand. A combination of luxury and unfettered design; the Phantom has all the option and gadgets a potential owner could want. Its coach style doors open on a rear hinge, allowing the passenger and driver to simply open, swivel inside and close the door behind them [the doors close automatically once safely inside]. Once inside though, sweeping leather interiors and the finest cashmere trim greet you and your passengers. The Phantom is effortless yet gratifying to drive, vitally important as most owners will prefer to drive the Phantom themselves. This car is no slouch in the speed department either, reaching a top speed of 240km/h without breaking a sweat. The Phantom is truly a modern interpretation of a legend.

No article about luxury cars can be complete without mentioning the Porsche Carrera GT. Porsche is synonymous with ultra-luxury and the Porsche Carrera GT is Porsches magnum opus. A high speed of 330 km/h can be reached but despite this ludicrous speed, the Porsche Carrera GT perfectly suited for everyday driving. The engine of the GT was originally used in the racing frame of the Porsche Le Mans racing cars. Porsche abandoned this concept quickly though but the engine did not go to waste and its 580hp strength frame now resides in the silver styled body of the Carrera GT. The interior theme is that of a functional ambience, not once compromising its true styling that of an all out F1 race car for the road.

Luxury is beyond necessity and there are but a few of the cars that define this word. If you have the means to purchase or drive one of these dream cars then make it so. Moments like those only come once in a lifetime.

Fuel Prices are out of control! We need an Alternative!

Petrol won’t last forever. The current fuel crisis that threatens to make petrol and diesel unaffordable has more then likely, only just begun. As millions of petrol-engine cars wait to become obsolete, scientists are working around the clock to develop new and exciting fuel technologies to ensure that our way of life will continue, unconstrained by the demands of fossil fuels.

The most popular alternative to standard petroleum is undoubtedly electricity. Scientists and motor car engineers have developed countless electric motors and Tesla-powered vehicles, plenty of which are already available for purchase. The mass produced ones such as the Toyota Prius and the Tesla Roadster are truly wonder of invention. They are clean running [producing no emissions] and have very low costs involved with “re-fuelling”.
However they are highly priced and if you are stuck in the middle of nowhere without a power source, you and your new electric car will both be going nowhere slowly. Until the time electric cars are cheap enough for everyone to purchase, they remain a curious oddity.

Diesel may already have an alternative though, in the form of Biodiesel.
Biodiesel is a fuel that has been converted from natural waste, such as plants and manure into a biological form of diesel. The best part is that standard diesel engines already work with Biodiesel! No special conversion for the engine is needed and the fuel efficiency remains the same, with significantly less emissions then from standard diesel.
“Great” you say, “Why not just replace normal diesel with Biodiesel?” That would certainly be the answer if it wasn’t for the fact the Biodiesel is far more expensive to create. Most Biodiesel mixtures are made from a combination of Soybean and rapeseed oil, both very expensive to process into bio-fuel. Manure is also an option, but massive quantities are needed for even a small amount of Biodiesel. So while the idea is sound, the required components are far too expensive to use on a mass scale.

Hydrogen is an alternative fuel that is growing in reputation, as both a space age fuel and a zero emission product. Hydrogen is the number one element on the periodic table and the lightest of all elements. It is incredibly easy to produce, simply by splitting water into oxygen using electricity, and Hydrogen is born. When it burns, it turns into a form of heat and water vapor. When burned in an internal combustion engine, Hydrogen performs exactly as fuel would and powers the engine accordingly. In the future, we will see Hydrogen vehicles on the road.
However, there is the issue on how to store Hydrogen for long periods of time [Hydrogen requires a constant temperature of below 475 degrees to survive] and as per usual, the costs for producing Hydrogen is very high.

There are no easy answers to the fuel shortage. Petrol stations close down everyday and the demand for fuel remains as high as it ever was. Fuel is the life-blood of our civilization and it’s drying up, we have literally tapped our planet dry. Our only option is to invest in alternative fuel sources as I have mentioned here and in one of these alternatives, our eventual salvation lays.

Bingo? Online? No Way!

Bingo has come a long way from those early Italian beginnings. The game that began as “Beano” and became Bingo in the States is an interpersonal pastime traditionally held in community halls or similar locations central to the local community.

This has created an ideal environment for social interaction and relationship building with other people from your own neighbourhood, as well as the chance to win a bit of cash while playing the fast-paced game.

In recent times, the advent of online bingo has dramatically altered the face of the game. Now a cyber game instead of a physical one, the player experiences bingo on the screen and in the mind.
There is no physical traveling to a venue, no shelling out of bank notes and no hand-held cards filled in manually. Online, everything is done for you including filling in your bingo cards, and the money is handled electronically.

For this reason many people feel online bingo is impersonal, and that the removal of the social interaction and the reason to leave the house and connect with the outside world, so important for many people especially senior citizens, has been a loss.

With the real players and venue substituted by sound and graphics, it is assumed that socializing does not take place and it’s all about one solitary individual and an impersonal Robot on the other side of the computer screen.

This is a false understanding of how online bingo works. Interpersonal interaction, while not face-to-face as with traditional bingo, is still an integral part of the game of Bingo. Chat rooms are full, 24 / 7, with players from around the world connecting. This makes your circle of bingo friends potentially enormous. Meeting with people from across the globe can also broaden your horizons, and you are no longer limited with the same handful of locals as you would have been in the local bingo hall.

In fact, some bingo sites attempted to do away with the chat functions as they felt this was an irrelevant aspect of the game, and erroneously felt that people only played online to win. These sites quickly learned that their judgment was skewed when their members left in droves to play at sites where the chatrooms were buzzing with friendly activity.

It is however true that playing for reward is also an important part of bingo. Now, with online bingo, you are often in line to win far larger jackpots than you were at the school hall on a Wednesday evening. In addition to the multiple jackpots – with winnings of up to a million pounds in the pot every week, most online bingo sites also offer promotions with fantastic prizes – from cruises to state of the art household appliances.

Another facet of online bingo is the incorporation of instant games as well as numerous opportunities to win money. Free bingo games are also an advantage to the old bingo hall system, where you had to pay an entrance fee for every bingo game.

Bingo has certainly come a long way. The evolution of the game from traditional to online has added convenience and safety – especially of importance to individuals who are unable to leave home for health or location and reasons. The grandmother who is afraid to walk home from bingo after dark, and the man in a wheelchair who misses meeting his buddies and has hours of time to fill can both have fun, win money and meet people online.

While a great many people still enjoy the traditional way of playing bingo, online bingo’s popularity and success prove that it is here to stay - it may even replace traditional bingo one day.

What is Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)?

Did you know that 88% of all Internet browsers use search engines to find what they are looking for. In February 2008, there were nearly 10 billion core searches done in the US alone. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the process of bringing a website as high as possible on the organic search engine results when users type in a search term in the search engine.

In Layman's terms, you go to Google and search for "Blue Widgets" and a website comes up number 1 selling blue widgets- this is due to an effective SEO strategy. When Google ranks your site, it looks at two primary SEO processes - onsite optimisation and offsite optimisation.

Onsite Optimisation is the process of developing, customising and regularly modifying a website's structure and content in order to improve your organic rankings in the Search Engines. Search Engines use 'digital spiders' to crawl each page of your website. These spiders collect a fair amount of information about each page, after which they will allocate a page result ranking for your website. The more 'fulfilled' the spiders are when visiting your site, the better your rankings will be.

Offsite Optimisation (Link Building) is the most important part of SEO and involves acquiring incoming links. Link Building involves getting other credible websites to point towards your website; this shows the search engines that your website is a valuable resource on the Internet.

These incoming links to your website can be seen as votes for your website and the higher the number of quality links you receive, the better your link popularity and rankings become.

How will ROI Media improve my Rankings?

Competitor Analysis

Each Search Engine Optimisation client is unique and at R.O.I. we approach things from a different angle. Our first step is to analyse your main competitors. Remember that Google and the other major search engines do not provide a roadmap for attaining a top-10 ranking and the best way to achieve higher and higher rankings is to find out which SEO strategies the best performing sites are implementing. This will show us which strategies are working well with Google, Yahoo! and MSN and how we can mould your SEO strategies in order to attain a superior standing amongst your main competitors.

Keyword research

Our SEO specialists will research and develop a customised list of keywords that your target market is most likely to use when searching for your services. Our results will reveal the highest traffic generating keywords in your industry and which ones are best to focus on given the competition around these keywords.

Content Writing

An instrumental element towards achieving good onsite results is to have a sufficient amount of good SEO flavoured content on your website. Most copywriters do not write web content with the search engine spiders in mind. Keyword prominence, density and frequency are usually lacking and the content on each webpage has no theme incorporated into its structure.

As you may be aware, Google uses artificial intelligence to rank content based on theme technology and web spiders allocate a much higher ranking to websites that incorporate themed content. With themed content incorporated, your web pages will rank for a few keywords instead of one primary keyword.

R.O.I. has professional copywriters that specialise in writing highly optimised themed content for onsite optimisation purposes.

Website Optimisation

Once we have a set keyword list we will then allocate these SEO keywords to individual pages on your website and optimise the web pages around these keywords. We will finely tune roughly 70 HTML elements on your website. Here is a list of just a few of the onsite elements we will be fine-tuning:

Page size, Meta keywords, java script status, robots.txt files, title tags, heading tags, Meta descriptions, body text, internal linking, ALT tags and ALT attributes.

Although the procedures described above appear to be complicated and time intensive, we have an excellent onsite optimisation turnaround time of roughly 25 days. Once the website optimisation process is completed we will begin the 2nd part of your SEO campaign, the Link Building process.

One-way link building solutions

This is pretty much the same thing as "Obama versus Clinton", it's time to get popular and generate votes from the online public.

In order to attain higher and higher rankings in the search engines your website will require hundreds and eventually thousands of incoming links. This is a long term strategy that needs to be built up slowly over time. We have over 100 link building strategies in our SEO armoury, some of which include: Search Engine and directory submission; article and press release production and distribution; as well as creative link building strategies that incorporate web 2.0 technologies.
