Well, I'm back in the US. I woke up Monday at 4:30am, after about 2.5 hours of sleep. Got on the tram at 5:10 to Oslo S, took the Flytoget to Oslo Airport, flew to London at 7:55am. Landed around 10am. Had a 4 hour layover at Heathrow. Killed time by going on Facebook for an hour, and attempting to sleep on some chairs. Got on a plane and flew for 11 hours from 2pm GMT to 5:20pm PST. Took a BART train to Hayward, where my roommate picked me up at 730pm when I finally got home. So about a solid 24 hours of traveling later, I'm at home. I stay up for another 3 hours, thoroughly exhausted since I didn't sleep at all, and crashed at 11pm. Slept til 8am this morning and now I'm back on CA time, only slightly jet lagged. That 9 hours of sleep definitely helped.
Things I missed:
Warm weather, note the graphic to the right. (fahrenheit)
American variety, so many more choices
The food... I got a huge ultimate cheeseburger at Jack n the Box for lunch. Awesome!
MY CAR. Aw, I missed my baby. Driving feels so good.
I don't really miss Oslo right now. The cold sucked, having to bundle up all the time. The summer is much better there. I DO miss the PEOPLE. My Friends. All my old friends, new friends, whatever. I love all you guys, and hope to see you all again. Hopefully I'll be back in June/July. God bless! Steve loves you!
Regardless of if you have faith in God, or faith in another religion, or none at all, I ask you to spend 15 minutes and watch this video. No matter what you've done, God loves you and wants a personal relationship with you, through his son, Jesus Christ. It's not about RELIGION (such a dirty word) or DOING GOOD DEEDS, it's about putting your faith in Jesus and that's it. I have faith in Jesus Christ as my personal savior, and I don't like to push my beliefs on others, but if you're reading this, I LOVE YOU, and God loves you too, and I can't stay silent.
Hey folks! I'm redesigning my freelance website, www.craniumdesigns.com, and i'd like your feedback. And I know it needs some detail added, just can't figure out what kind yet. Here is a screenshot of the home page design. Let me know what you think, and provide suggestions for improvement THANKS!
I've been saying Apple is evil for a long time because of all their DRM, along with trying to lock you to only the products they authorize. Well now they're trying to control what clothes you wear...
My old couch was like 20 years old and survived God knows what through college. So I got a new one from Ikea. This made the rest of my living room look old, so I got 2 new arm chairs, a side table, a floor lamp, and a table lamp, spending about $900 total...
This in turn made my bedroom seem old, so then I felt I had to upgrade that as well... I bought a new dresser, desk, side table, table lamp, and bed frame. About $800 total. All black furniture.
All that's left is to put up some art on my walls. What do you guys think? I love black!
It's Saturday night. I just got paid. I got a haircut, my laundry done, my car waxed, my nice shirts dry cleaned. I have no WORK to do this weekend. I just wanted to relax and I was hoping to do something fun tonight.
I have 2 roommates, Jacob (28) and Nikos (23). Nikos is a Berkeley Police officer, so he's working 4pm-2am. Jacob is at his girlfriend's house for the evening, most likely getting his sex on (I can often hear them when they do it here).
So I'm home alone tonight. I thought I would call some friends and try to go out to San Francisco or something. FAIL! Everyone is either staying in tonite, or I can't get ahold of them. Needless to say, I'm a bit bummed out, so as I sometimes do when I get bummed out, I drink I went to my favorite liquor store (that my buddy owns) and bought a 6 pack of Corona and a bag of chips.
Now i'm drinking my beer, eating my chips, and watching "Chronicles of Riddick" on TV. It's not a horrible movie. Not great, but good enough to watch. What ever happen to Vin Diesel? Haven't seen him lately. I like him. Anywayz, that's my night so far, and it's 9:15pm. Perhaps more to come later.
These videos are sooooo true. Ladies, memorize the first one. Guys, memorize the second one.

I was having a major craving for REAL mexican food in Norway. Alas, my craving could not be satiated because what passes for Mexican food in Europe is SOOOOOOO lame. Here's what REAL Mexican food looks like people. Come have some with me.
