A trip to Lahore

This very recent trip was a complete waste of time and money. I had so many plans in my mind to follow but I couldn't do so. As soon we landed at the Lahore airport around 8:30pm we were welcomed with a sad news of 3 blasts that took place at Mall Road, and then after about five minutes we came to know another one has occurred. We (me n two of my friends) sighed n joked about it that sounds like we're still in Karachi. Our host was as usual late to pick us up from the airport so we waited outside for him to come, meanwhile, we talked about the structure/design of the Allama Iqbal International Airport, which is a replica of Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. After about 20 minutes the host arrived and we told him how lazy n careless he was, as usual (lakin, janab ko sharam tu ati hee nahi na).
The host took us to his house and advised us to stay at home as the blasts count had reached to six by that time. So, we didn't go out that night. We invited another Lahori friend over n chatted about the blasts n all, had dinner, had tea and slept late around 3:30am.
In the morning, a friend A had to see her friend C. The host had to go to the railway station to seek permission for a film shoot, which he had to do for his final project of the movie making course he was enrolled in @ NCA. He (the host) took along the friend B, while friend A got ready to meet her friend C. The host n the friend B returned about 3pm. n it was decided that we all will go to meet the friend C but I was in no mood et all to meet that friend C. So we had a little disagreement on this and neither of us could convince each other.
Anyhow, I dropped them at the Freddy's Cafe, Lahore. Got back to home, packed my things and went to my cousins place. I stayed that night at my cousins place, enjoyed talking to my funny cousin and had an average delicious Biryani and watched Liverpool vs Stoke City match live that ended in a goalless draw :| n this is how the night ended.
The next day, I didn't contact my friends n waited for them to contact first, which they did! Friend B came to pick me up around 1pm the car they had rented troubled us as we headed back to the hosts' place where the host n ghost (friend A) were getting ready. Anyway we reached there without any trouble except just once when the car broke down n refused to restart for a good 3-4minutes. Anyhow we got back picked the other two n headed to the Masoom's coffeehouse somewhere at M.M.Alam Road.
The agenda was to meet friend C and her best friend there at the Masoom's coffeehouse. Guess what happened on our way to the Masoom's? yea, our car broke down n this time refused to come back to health. So the friend A & B took a rickshaw n the host n I decided to wait for the backup we were being sent by the rent.a.car company. We (the two masoom ppl) reached there about 7pm all exhausted because of the wait or fatigue we had to go through. As it was quite a cold evening and I wasn't waring no upper/jacket, so felt a bit cold. We spent an hour there had a good time, took leave after an hour or so as we had to drop the friend A to Airport as he had to return to Karachi that night. We dropped him to the airport n asked the host to drop me to my cousins' place, which he did so n took the friend B along to his place.
After friend A's departure, I didn't bother to contact the host or the friend B as i had no plan for the next day but to stay at home n chill around, which i did! however, i fell sick that midnight and it took two more days to recover. As soon i recovered, I went out with my cousins, bought few DVD's for my cousin who lives in Karachi. I got my seat reserved and returned home. We played cricket that evening had a yummy dinner, followed by (mango flavored Gourmet) ice cream n slept about 2am after viewing some TV.
Finally, I got up around 8am packed my things, had breakfast, thanked my cousins for taking care of me. Since I couldn't buy them anything i gave them some cash, which they accepted, reluctantly. They dropped me to the airport n i wished if i could have spend another day with them. This makes me think, it wasn't a complete wastage et all. I might have spent these days differently but still i had fun this way and was able to relax during these vacations as well.
