This has been quite a month. I had a brother pass away. We hadn't been close for many years, but once a brother always a brother. We hadn't spoken in many years, but I had tried to keep up with his where-abouts the best that I could. This made me think a lot about family. I had a grandaughter turn 8 Aug 6th and a daughter (her mom) turned 48 on the 19th. The next day on the 20th I celebrated my 74th birthday. I have another daughter in Florida who had an anniversary on the 21st and the previously mentioned daughter had her anniversary on the 25th.
Now that it is almost September I can vision all the kids back in school and thing settling nack to normal. The fairs and other celebrations will soon be a thing of the past and school sports will be the biggest activities happening.
Right now I'm a little sour on the news especially with the upcoming elections being the mainliner each evening. I'm likely to sit out the elactions this year as I find very little in either canidate that I can relate to.
