iTunes 7.0 oddness

If you haven't heard, iTunes 7.0 was released today. Now you can buy movies and games for your video iPod! It's getting a little big for it's britches, if you ask me. But, I was probably happiest at iTunes 4.

So in testing iTunesDSr with the new version of iTunes, things weren't working as expected. Using AppleScript, when you ask iTunes for it's "Player State" (whether it's playing, paused, or stopped) iTunes returns a "constant". You have to turn this response into a string, which is simple enough. I wasn't getting a string, however. I was getting the constant, which in string form is "«constant ****kPSs»". That means iTunes is stopped.
So in trying to fix it and having no luck in AppleScript I decided to change the PHP to look for the constant.
"Hey, works great. Let's test some more."
"..."
"MFSOB!"
Strings start being returned instead of the constant. Funny. :|
The good news is the last version should work fine, if maybe not at first. Still unsure why this would happen.
