January 16-19 I met with 20+ other ministry leaders in Sofia, Bulgaria to evaluate the evangelistic campaign which took place last Easter. This was the most thorough review we have ever had of a large project, and this was the largest project we have had in Eastern Europe and Russia. We saw the importance of key roles of project management, public relations, and media manager. Of the 7 million in Bulgaria, over 1 million saw the Story of Jesus film. Many people also came to family parties that were offered later that month to help people understand how God can help their family.

Those words were a great comfort recently when Ryan was screaming his head off at 2am with a high temperature. We felt isolated from medical care. It turned out to be German Measles.
Last night I noticed a slip of paper glued to our entrance that says our water will be off today from 10.00 to 17.00. Sure am glad that I can read Russian. I'm assuming it is just cold water because the hot water and radiators were off a couple of weeks ago. (Nope, it was all off.)
Since I'll be gone all weekend on our evangelistic retreat I took the day off. That allowed me to go to the local store for Luiza for potatoes and mushrooms. At 10am there was an older man lying drunk on the steps trying to get up. Inside two men were already busy at the slot machines. The first man had made it up when I left, but forgot his loaf of bread.
