Vogons...

If you're not familiar with Vogons, you should definately read The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy by (late) Douglas Adams. Vogons, that's the thing Belgium seems to be full off. What I've encountered the last days has been the ultimate form of burocracyStopping with studies, starting to work (as a self-employed dentist) and working as an intern (in a new system that hasn't been refined yet), takes a hell of a lot:
1) patience
2) paperwork
3) patience
4) phonecalls
5) patience
6) being redirected to other phones
7) patience
8) time
9) patience
10) transport
11) patience
12) money
13) patience

But we need to be stuck too!! I guess in a weird way to move ahead we every now and then need to be stuck with paperwork...

I guess the problem is not really the governement alone, there are so many things and organisations that need certain forms and such, that the problem is more the multitude of all organisations, than the forms on themselves.
I've also had troubles with enrolling me in one of the universities that offer the course for the extra year of internship. It's so badly organised that apparently nobody knows what to do. I know I can't blame these people, it's not their fault, but it's terribly frustrating to be 1,5 hours on the phone, just to find out I need to send them a copy of my diploma.
Slowely everything seems to get OK now, although a lot of forms still have to be filled in....
