Stuk Chocolat's Corner

The dentist, the moderator, the everyday man...

an update

It's been a while since I've posted something, so I think it's time for an update again.

The cold over, luckily! I haven't heard about the salt water yet, but Listerine does indeed work, it's something they also use at work for this. And believe me, in a dental practice like ours there is a lot of Listerine!

So, I've been to Greece, to the IADR (international association of dental research) congress to present a poster about dental anxiety. I didn't win any prices, but the people where enthousastic (although my presentation was only 5 minutes). It was a very nice experience, it was something I had never done before.

Work goes fine. I think I said it earlier, but I'm so happy they treat me like "the new colleage" and not like "the intern". I've been told also the personal is enthousiastic about me. I really like to hear that. I love the working place, the people, everything! OK, it's getting up early (6:15 am) and late at home (8:00 pm), but it's worth it. Although, I must admit that I hardly have time left to do anything in the evening. I'm too tired after working, and I'm someone who needs lots of sleep, so usually I'm early off to bed.

That's it folks for this time!

ill...lots of stuff - monthly update

It's good to have an update from you! I'm glad work is going well. How do your patients like you?

BTW, Listerine works very well to help clean out and heal those tiny mouth ulcers.

The chance for you to present a paper is very cool--how neat to get that amount of professional experience in so quickly in your career! I'll bet that you did very well, even if you didn't win a prize!

How was Greece? Did you get to see much of the country?
