Showcase, chickens and wood carving

Hi all!
I just inscribed myself in a new course of woodcarving. After the introduction day in September, I've now enrolled myself in a 7-day course (which is spread over several Saturdays, so it's perfect to combine with my work). I'm really looking forward to it. From the moment I received the dates of the new course I immediately sent back an e-mail without hesitation!

I've also put a new album on-line dedicated to my chicken. I don't know why, but I guess I love her and that's why I want to show off with some photos

Tomorrow I'll be going to a showcase (and I also believe it includes a signing session) of Hooverphonic. This is one of my favourite artists, or should I say group? They are from, guess where, Belgium! Their concerts are always fantastic, and I'm sure this showcase will be wonderful as always. And the good thing is that I've paid zero for it, because I won the tickets.
Don't ask me to describe their music, because they've evolved a lot during the years. They started a as a trip-hop group, evolving to some kind of rock, and there latest album is rather psychedelic pop. Love them
That's all folks!

I've actually heard of Hooverphonic, but have never heard their music.
The woodcarving classes sound fun. I'm looking forward to seeing what type of work you do!

A wood carving course sounds wonderful - you are certainly a very creative man. Hope you'll post some of your work sometime

I've always loved chickens. Actually the cluck drawing was based on a porcelain "doll" of a pink chicken (don't ask :p ). Our chicken, called Marie-Antoinette came much later. She lives in a fenced corner of our back garden, close to the kitchen window so we can watch her. When the weather is nice we "unleash" her and she's allowed to walk in the whole garden for a few hours.
Kerry,
you're very right: she's the perfect companion, she's indeed loyal, protective and she lays tasty eggs :)
I'm really looking forward to the woodcarving. I can hardly wait till the end of January!
The concert of Hooverphonic was fantastic. The showcase was less interesting. You noticed they were performing before an audience who won tickets, instead of fans who love the music.

That stuff takes up part of my childhood memory.
