May Showers in Tennessee

As some of you may have heard, we've been having a little rain here lately. It's pretty tricky mapping out a route to work as it seems to be flooding a new street every day. I'm not used to having to worry about creeks and streams, but I try to avoid them right now.

I leave you with a YouTube of the worst of it...at least the worst of it so far.
yikes

It looked like that here a couple of years ago from Tropical Storm Fay.

I hadn't seen in the News, but I believe Carol had a Post about it. I'll have to wait until I'm gonna shower so that I can set the YouTube to load then.

Good to hear that at least as of yet, you haven't outright encountered a serious situation.

Sounds like a real mess down your way for sure. Glad to hear you do have to drive to and from work still.

Annetter, I cannot open the video at the moment, I will have to try again later, but I will try until I can and then give proper comment. Be safe out there, ok.

As far as that video is concerned: there's still no link on this page on my cell.
At least I'm not in low orbit or a mile beneath the surface of the sea. That might make it a bit difficult.

I forgot to set the YouTube to load as I showered yesterday evening as I had planned, Annette. But, I did see about a third of it this morning. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Scared.gif - That is horrible ... a disaster as Helen said. scared

Good thing you haven't found yourself, your vehicle and your home in that situation. You sure wouldn't need a setback like that freshly after the excitement of getting called back to work.

Crikey! That's one heck of a lot of water. I hope you manage to stay out of the way. And congratulations about going back to work. It's no fun being unemployed (unless you want to be, of course bigsmile ).

Hulkie, it has been no easy task getting to and from work. I have to give myself two hours to make the normal 30 minute drive. Co-workers and I call each other with road updates. It hasn't rained today, but we have another front headed this way and it should be here this weekend. http://files.myopera.com/SummerAngel/Smilies//bigeyes.gif -

Yes I do! http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/BigGrin2.gif -

It'll be me in the next YouTube, patiently sitting on the roof of my house, pole in hand, waiting to reel in the big one or be rescued...whichever comes first. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Crazy.gif -

http://files.myopera.com/SummerAngel/Smilies//hello.gif - Tom, thanks for the visit and comment. Yes, it is a real mess down here. Here is the link to the video if you want to take a look at it.

It has been a total disaster in Nashville. They still don't have phone service. The last count was 15 deaths and countless homes and businesses destroyed. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Sad.gif -

True Sunny. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Happy.gif - Many of my co-workers can't get to work and/or have opted to stay at home to try to repair damages incurred by the storms.

Yes it is Iain...if this weekend brings as much wind and rain as the last storms did, then I'll be staying home too. http://files.myopera.com/SummerAngel/Smilies//highfive.gif -

http://files.myopera.com/SummerAngel/Smilies//thankyou.gif - for the congrats on returning to work. You are right, after the first couple of weeks, it was no fun being unemployed. I am overjoyed to be employed again. http://files.myopera.com/SummerAngel/Smilies//woohoo.gif -
