Sunny, this explains WHY

In a recent email, I read about a woman named Pam, who knows the pain of considering abortion. More than 24 years ago, she and her husband Bob were serving as missionaries to the Philippines and praying for a fifth child. Pam contracted amoebic dysentery, an infection of the intestine caused by a parasite found in contaminated food or drink. She went into a coma and was treated with strong antibiotics before they discovered she was pregnant.

Doctors urged her to abort the baby for her own safety and told her that the medicines had caused irreversible damage to her baby. She refused the abortion and cited her Christian faith as the reason for her hope that her son would be born without the devastating disabilities physicians predicted. Pam said the doctors didn't think of it as a life, they thought of it as a mass of fetal tissue.

While pregnant, Pam nearly lost their baby four times but refused to consider abortion. She recalled making a pledge to God with her husband: If you will give us a son, we'll name him Timothy and we'll make him a preacher.

Pam ultimately spent the last two months of her pregnancy in bed and eventually gave birth to a healthy baby boy August 14, 1987. Pam's youngest son is indeed a preacher. He preaches in prisons, makes hospital visits, and serves with his father's ministry in the Philippines . He also plays football. Pam's son is Tim Tebow.

The University of Florida's star quarterback became the first sophomore in history to win college football's highest award, the Heisman Trophy. His current role as quarterback of the Denver Broncos has provided an incredible platform for Christian witness. As a result, he is being called The Mile-High Messiah.

Tim's notoriety and the family's inspiring story have given Pam numerous opportunities to speak on behalf of women's centers across the country. Pam Tebow believes that every little baby you save matters.

That is a very moving and inspring story Annette.I do not believe in abortion but being a man who does not have to go through the agonies of pregnancy my views do not count for much.I believe that everyone deserves the chance of life and I also believe it is wrong to take that chance away from them.

Suntana Friday, January 13, 2012 4:40:26 PM

Interesting story, Annette.
No, I didn't know Tim Tebow was a Preacher.
I was just aware of the mentions of "Christian."

we'll name him Timothy and we'll make him a preacher.

Hmmm??? That's a hefty pledge.
You know ... laying out the plan for someone who isn't born yet.

Anyway ... the reason WHY ????? WHAT?
You mean the reason abortion should be abolished?

So, Annette, I take it that as per this reason WHY ...
The Broncos are going to win the Super Bowl?

SummerAngel Sunday, January 15, 2012 10:30:37 AM

Yes, the "Sunny" in the title refers to you. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Happy.gif -

Extremely possible. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/ThumbsUp.gif -

Suntana Sunday, January 15, 2012 2:32:36 PM

left right Uhhh, actually, Annette, by now as I type this, it is now officially literally impossible for the Broncos to win the Super Bowl. Why? Because in yesterday's game against the New England Patriots, the Denver Broncos encountered a problem of having a slight deficit of enough points required to win the game.

Okay, so the Denver Broncos were routed 45 - 10! scared So yeah, the Denver Broncos now officially get to join the Dallas Cowboys ... watching the rest of the Playoffs and the Super Bowl on TV. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/BigGrin2.gif -

Suntana Sunday, January 15, 2012 2:44:26 PM

The bright side of yesterday was that the San Francisco 49ers beat the New Orleans Saints. That means that my oldest niece's husband's team is now OUT of the Playoffs. That'll neutralize him from wanting to give me any Trash Talk about the Dallas Cowboys not having made the Playoffs. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Yahoo.gif -

With the Pittsburgh Steelers having been ousted last week, now the teams of anyone who could possibly give me any lip, have all been eliminated. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/ThumbsUp.gif -

Now I just want the New York Giants to be administered an old-fashioned Beatdown by the Green Bay Packers today. That ought to learn them to be eliminating the Dallas Cowboys from the Playoffs. Heck, it doesn't even have to be an old-fashioned Beatdown. A NEW-fashioned Beatdown will work for me as well. headbang http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/LOL.gif -

I thought I was just thinking it. lol

SummerAngel Monday, January 16, 2012 4:14:30 PM

Sorry John, I just now saw your comment. Don't know how I missed it since you were the first to respond.

As far as the abortion debate goes, I will just say it's NOT something I would consider but I do not feel it is my place to judge those who do. Right or wrong, in America, women have the freedom to choose this route if they desire.

SummerAngel Monday, January 16, 2012 4:15:29 PM

What were you just thinking that came out in print Sunny? confused

Suntana Monday, January 16, 2012 5:54:33 PM

Annette, what I was referring to was that NFL Football Playoffs nitty gritty that glazed Aadil's eyes over.

MosesMosesTheDog Monday, January 16, 2012 10:13:10 PM

hi angel

I have 2 new posts up, if you'd like to look at them

Suntana Sunday, March 25, 2012 11:48:24 PM

Hey, Annette, speaking of this explains why, I heard through the grapevine that Peyton Manning is going to the Denver Broncos ... AND that therefore Tebow is out. The last I heard, Tebow was going to the NY Jets, but the deal sort of hit a snag. Probably just a delay. If Peyton Manning is already in town, one way or the other, Tebow will be going elsewhere.

I don't know about this.
The Denver Broncos management is sure taking a HUGE gamble. Sure, Manning is of course a better Quarterback than Tebow. But, Manning does already have 14 years in the league. Not exactly a youngster. Not exactly the future. Not someone to build your team around. Especially considering the VERY questionable status of his critical injury and whether it's really healed.

Last year, a former Washington Redskins player who is also a doctor strongly recommended that Manning should retire because he's risking payalysis if he takes a shot to that same area of the injury.

SummerAngel Monday, March 26, 2012 7:35:12 PM

I heard about that. I think the Broncos are making a BIG mistake.

The Titans were hoping Manning would choose to be one of them after his recent visit to TN. Looks like his answer is NO! http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/BigGrin.gif -

Suntana Tuesday, March 27, 2012 1:37:55 AM

I haven't checked the Cowboys Blog, but I'm guessing there must have been a lot of Cowboys Fans drooling and wanting Manning to replace Romo. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/LOL.gif -

I think historically, whenever an elite player with many years in the league already under his belt and playing for the same team all those years goes to a different team ... usually he doesn't have success with the new team.

Names that come to mind are:
Joe Namath, OJ Simpson, Tony Dorsett and Emmitt Smith.

Suntana Tuesday, March 27, 2012 3:00:42 AM

Heyyy! Here I am chatting with you and Jack Wagner just happens to be dancing ... or at least engaging in some dance-like activity. lol

SummerAngel Thursday, March 29, 2012 2:02:17 PM

Manning's football days may be over. He risks paralysis if injured in the same way again. I can't believe any team would pick him up.

Yeah, I saw Jack trying to dance...he's no Donny for sure. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/BigGrin2.gif -

Suntana Thursday, March 29, 2012 5:38:05 PM

Wooooooo! I have to High Five Jack Wagner for being no Donny.

As soon as I saw Martina's dance, I knew she was most assuredly gonna be the one to go next. Tried her best as she did, it unfortunately just came across as simply going through the motions. Or as the Sonny Corinthos detractors used to say on the AOL Message Boards ... "Just mailing it in." http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/LOL.gif -

Suntana Thursday, March 29, 2012 5:39:31 PM

Or maybe it was, "Just phoning it in."
Either way, no substance.

SummerAngel Saturday, March 31, 2012 10:03:39 PM

I was doing something else when DWTS was on so I didn't see Martina dance. I did, however, watch Jack Wagner and Melissa Gilbert try to dance.

We've already discussed Frisco/Jack, so all I will say about him is I hope he improves SOON.

Now for Melissa Gilbert...if I have to watch her blow one more kiss with that Joan Rivers plastic surgery disaster of a mouth she has I will SCREAMMM!!! yuck

Suntana Saturday, March 31, 2012 10:52:12 PM

I watched loosely.
But, I don't think Melissa Gilbert is on pace to become the next Jennifer Grey and win the trophy. Melissa isn't likely to be around too long.

So, whenever Jack gets ousted, are you going to move on over onto William Levy's bandwagon? http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/BigGrin.gif - So far I've only seen a little bit of his 1st week's dance. Wasn't impressed, but the consensus is that he's friggin' good.

SummerAngel Saturday, March 31, 2012 11:37:04 PM

I didn't know who William Levy was, so I googled him. I watched the Hottest Package of the Season do the Cha Cha Cha...http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Love.gif -

Suntana Sunday, April 1, 2012 12:06:34 AM

The Hottest Package of the Season? bigeyes
Is THAT what they're billing him as?
Anyway, when I saw him, I thought, "Hmmm???? He seems to have that ... that ... that Annette as a Fan potential about him. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/LOL2.gif -

Jaleel was impressive the 1st week.
This past week? Not so much. But, it might have been that Ice Cream Man outfit that he was wearing that might have been Albatrossing / Boat Anchoring any ounce of Wow Factor that he might have generated.

SummerAngel Sunday, April 1, 2012 12:44:55 AM

Bruno called William the Hottest Package of the Season and I agree.

I just can't see Nerdy http://img437.imageshack.us/img437/7859/erkel23hp.png - Urkel beating the Latin http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSPjYMpOx8195_tQXuYoGNOKhmnPcdvIDYsoszgl4_em8F3oPNE - Lover.

Suntana Sunday, April 1, 2012 2:55:41 AM

Ahhhhh, why yes, of course ... Bruno.
Now that you mention it, I believe I do recall Bruno calling him that. And on another occasion, all hot & bothered, Bruno also told William something along the lines that -- "Even fully-clothed you're still hot." That was in reference to William having had less on on his 1st week or his shirt had been unbuttoned in his 1st week or something.

Suntana Sunday, April 1, 2012 1:08:37 PM

O --- Kay! I guess it was the or something. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/LOL2.gif -
I guess it IS quite possible that Bruno HAD already seen those pics.http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/LOL.gif -

SummerAngel Sunday, April 1, 2012 3:43:31 PM

I think it is probable that Bruno saw William's 'nearly nude' photos. Bruno told William he was overdressed in week 1.http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Cop.gif -

Suntana Sunday, April 1, 2012 4:01:41 PM

Are you moving in Slo-Mo today like Steve Austin and the Baywatch Girls used to run?
Cuz I am surprised you don't have him ... Uhhh, William, not Bruno or Urkel in your Sidebar already. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/ROFL.gif -

Suntana Sunday, April 1, 2012 4:18:25 PM

BTW, how's the home improvement front going on? Any of that still going on there? Or at least any of that Moving Back In still going on?

Surprisingly I still haven't heard back from my niece regarding the Painting and Flooring job that was pending. Back then she had said it'd be about 2 weeks as they were waiting for some Trim or something they ordered, to come in. I think we're approaching a month. I might call her today to see what's up.

Suntana Sunday, April 1, 2012 4:18:53 PM

I'm barely recovering from all the scratches I got on my arms from helping my Dad chop down 2 Pine trees recently. Yeah, I had to get up high and deep into the trees' jungle of branches with the Chainsaw. I should have worn a jacket, because that long sleeve shirt certainly didn't protect me from getting all scratched up.

My arms looked like I had been on the losing end of a fight with a woman. scared http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/LOL.gif - Especially 3 particular very uniformly parallel scratches right there on my right wrist. I think NOT even a CSI Team would have believed me they were Pine tree scratches and NOT woman scratches. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/LOL2.gif -

You're right. The Sidebar stage is not big enough for 2 scantily-clad bodies and Hula Girl already has dibs on it.

Suntana Monday, April 2, 2012 2:33:32 AM

I checked with my niece.
They haven't gotten the additional parts for the flooring project yet. Their 2 kids have been getting sick and that's where the money had been going.

So, my Dad and I will get to that painting and flooring project whenever we get the call that it's a go.

SummerAngel Monday, April 2, 2012 2:08:48 PM

People here are getting sick too. I've had 4 to 10 people call in every night for the last six weeks. I scramble to get in early enough to ask 2nd shift workers to stay over 4 hours and then spend a couple of hours calling 1st shift workers to come in early. http://files.myopera.com/SummerAngel/Smilies//whew.gif - I sure hope I don't get what's going around.

Hopefully your nieces children will recover soon and she can get her painting and flooring done. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/ThumbsUp.gif -

Suntana Monday, April 2, 2012 4:26:48 PM

Hey, Annette, maybe you can help me out.
Maybe you can vouch for me that I am telling the truth.

I'm sure you had to at least at some point watched Happy Days, right? Do you remember that Fonzie used to say, "Exactamundo" whenever he needed to say "Exactly?"

SummerAngel Monday, April 2, 2012 11:13:13 PM

Exactamundo http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=exactamundo
It is used primarily by U.S. non-Spanish speakers. The Fonz, a hip irreverent character on the 50s TV show The Happy Days is responsible for some of the earliest recorded utterances though it's likely to have been in use before then.

http://www.wwtfd.org/fonz-fonzie-quotes/

He also said coolamundo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvblcoDA1Jo&feature=related

Suntana Tuesday, April 3, 2012 12:20:05 AM

Ooooooo! Thank You Thank You Thank You, Annette! http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Yahoo.gif -
Now I can take the proof to Teresa.
She couldn't buy that the Fonz would say "Exactamundo" if the Series was in English here. She swore I was making this up. irked ninja norris

This all started when she said something and I replied with a simple big ole "Perfectomundo." She asked if that was Charlieglish. I said that no, actually Fonzie used to always say it on Happy Days.

I already proved to her yesterday courtesy of IMdb Quotes that Arnold Schwarzenegger did indeed say, "Hasta la vista, baby" in Terminator II. She theorized that he must have said something like, "So long, baby." http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/LOL2.gif - Right. Like that happened. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/LOL.gif -

Catch you later, Annette.
