I first saw a video of this darling little girl singing this song on Mark's Blog. http://my.opera.com/CytoMark/blog/2008/12/09/lost-in-translation Connie is cute, funny, an amazing singer, and she just melts the "nasty Simon's" heart. Mark, I hope you enjoy seeing this video of her being intorduced to the world on Britain's Got Talent.

And...Simon does have a heart. Just look at that adorable smile he has as he watches Susan Boyle sing.

My wife showed me the Susan Boyle clip last night. Susan's terrific - great pitch, control and emotion. The audience were so rude towards her when she first came out, but she showed them! Seeing their faces was priceless.

Imac, http://files.myopera.com/SummerAngel/files/welcome.gif - to my beach. Susan Boyle was on Good Morning America today. They have dubbed her 'The World's Idol', singing 'the most famous song in the world'. I agree, the look on the audience and judges faces were pricless.

Thanks, I love the beach. Salt air, sand between my toes. Reminds me of where I grew up, next to a wonderful sandy surf beach we would spend all summer at.

I grew up in Florida and had the St. Johns River for a back yard. I spent most of my summer fishing on our dock and swimming when the fish weren't biting. Most weekends the parents in my neighborhood took turns taking all us kids to the beach 5 miles away. I now live in the mountains and only get to the beach on vacations, so I created a beach I can visit every day here on Opera.

You are welcome Iain. I just love that little boy. I hope they show Britains Got Talent in the US, but if they don't, I plan to keep up with him via my friends in the UK.

We have a version here in New Zealand, but the talent pool is shallower, being a small country, so we're less likely to get as many surprises as on the UK or US versions. There are still some wonderful surprises, though. I'm constantly amazed by the talent other people have - even people I thought I knew well.
