We didn't do eggs this year, nor did I get a bunny that was chocolate. This Not getting a chocolate bunny is really the pits. I missed not getting one this year. cry

SummerAngel Monday, April 25, 2011 5:21:44 PM

No Scott, we do not dye eggs. We use the plastic ones and put candy and money in them...if the kids fail to find some of them, they do not stink to high heaven when you run over them with the lawn mower.

Even though you did not dye eggs, I hope you enjoyed your Easter. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/ThumbsUp.gif -

We'll have to have a little talk with that Easter Bunny D. I didn't get a chocolate bunny either, but he brought one to my son. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/BigGrin2.gif -

We do need to talk to that Bunny. He is obviously falling down on the job. He isn't bringing us all chocolate bunnies like he should be. He is probably mad at me for not promoting him for Easter. I think he doesn't belong with our Lord's resurection. bigeyes left

I would have settled for Marshmallow Peeps. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Yes.gif -

Maybe he thinks we're not kids anymore. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Cool.gif -

The Easter Bunny relates to the Resurrection of Jesus about as much as Santa Claus relates His birth...I think the idea behind both is the Gift we were given.

Louise colors all the eggs for us yes
They are all a light brown color lol

SummerAngel Thursday, April 28, 2011 1:31:13 PM

So it's like Easter all year long at your house. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Wink.gif -
Does Louise hide the eggs like the Easter Bunny does? http://files.myopera.com/SummerAngel/Smilies//lol.gif -

Jaxs Powelleagle4eyes Saturday, April 30, 2011 1:15:48 PM

It's like having Easter all year round and Yes Louise does hide the eggs lol

SummerAngel Saturday, April 30, 2011 8:53:41 PM

I thought I remembered she was a free range chicken. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Happy.gif -

I buy brown eggs from a guy I work with. They not only taste better, but the are better for you than store bought eggs.smile

Jaxs Powelleagle4eyes Sunday, May 1, 2011 3:32:26 PM

She travels all around the yard and loves it when I run the water hose for her...lol

Free range is healthier for you.

SummerAngel Sunday, May 1, 2011 8:14:16 PM

I remember my Florida days of being able to afford to play in the water in the yard. My parents had an artesian sulfur water well with sprinklers running practically 24/7 year round so the grass would grow.

Here, those who have wells use water pumps because they are not free flowing like artesian wells. They also have to be conservative of their water use because the wells often run dry and it is expensive to have new ones dug. Most who have city water do not water their lawns because the rates are so high.

With all the flooding we have had in this area lately, you would think wells wouldn't still be running dry, but they do. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Yes.gif -

Jaxs Powelleagle4eyes Monday, May 2, 2011 3:52:06 PM

Wells run dry because of where the ground water source is. If that water source is low then yes wells dry up. Rain helps but that water has to travel at least 25 feet down to supply the ground water. Interesting how that all works.
I run the water for Louise in the late afternoon and she loves it. lol

SummerAngel Monday, May 2, 2011 6:38:45 PM

Most of the land in this area is farm land. Farmers have to use a lot of water during the dry season. Even after floods, the ground seems to soak up the water quickly. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Yes.gif -

Louise is one lucky Chick. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/BigGrin.gif -

I am amazed at how the back yard will have small lakes all over and within a few short days of no rain, it has already started to look dryed out and parched. bigeyes Where did all the water go?? eek Here it runs off of our property and the city charges us for the run off in our sewer bill. scared

SummerAngel Sunday, May 15, 2011 6:41:21 PM

It's too cold here for the water to evaporate. We've only had a couple of days in the last few weeks when it didn't rain...getting water logged here. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/BigGrin.gif -
