Fourth of Jul-Aiy Aiy Aiy Caramba!

On Friday, my friend Peppermint aka Linda (L2D2) wished me a Happy 4th of July and inquired as to whether I was doing anything special. I believe I replied something to the effect that unless something popped up at the last minute, I really didn't have anything special planned. Well, I mean, sure … I was originally going to go on my annual Mt. Everest climb, but that fell through the day before when I broke a shoelace on one of my Mountain-climbing Boots. As I told Peppermint, what I more likely had intentions of doing was to work on Agneta's Blog Theme if I got the Info from her on what she had in mind. That was going to be more like in the afternoon and the evening as I had plans for the morning.

I was planning to early in the morning, engage in one of the biggest and true American Fourth of July traditions. I mean, it ranks right up there with Barbecues and Fireworks in popularity. C'mon! Take a guess. What do y'all think I was planning on doing yesterday morning? Attend a parade? Go on a Hot Air Balloon ride? Water Skiing? Parachute Jump? Nah! Put all of those in a blender and you still wouldn't get the ocean of fun, which I was planning on having. No, you don't have to Google or Wikipedia it. I'll tell y'all. The cornucopia of fun in which I was, with great anticipation, itching to engage on Fourth of July morning was my :left: :right: Annual Fourth of July Windows Reinstall on my computer. :jester: I do other Windows Reinstalls on my computer throughout the year, but it has actually turned out that almost by tradition, I have performed one on the Fourth of July the past 3 years or so.

Hindsight being 20/20, if I had it all to do again, I wouldn't have engaged in that Windows Reinstall yesterday. As y'all no doubt noticed, I was pretty much missing in action on the OC the entire day yesterday. I had originally planned on starting the Reinstall early, like at 7:00AM. But, it wasn't to be. With having to make sure my Files were organized and updating my Backup CDs, I didn't get started until 9:30AM. With my latest Reinstall routine, if everything went all right, I could pull it off in 5 hours. Yesterday, I was going to try a new routine that could theoretically bring that down to 4 hours or so. I was going to move the AOL Install more towards the end of the routine. This is because AOL is a PITA. (Pain in the Ass) :ko: I have to manually verify / set the Settings on each of my 6 Screen Names. Then I have to engage in a series of Log Ons and Log Offs until all the AOL Updates are downloaded. :bomb:

I was determined to Haul Ass Haul Shell  and finish by 2:00PM or 2:30PM at the latest. Most of y'all are likely familiar with the old adage - If it ain't broke … Don't fix it! This Fourth of July would turn out to be a case where that was most certainly true. Granted to a certain extent I was performing the Windows Reinstall as a Maintenance measure since Windows 98SE is notorious for being unstable and needing periodic Reinstalls. But, I was also hoping that maybe it would neutralize the Opera navigation sluggishness problems that I've had for at least a week or more now. However, in the big scheme of things, there was NOT anything per se BROKE. Yet, I was going to, "Fix it." Homer: Doh!

My first problem of the day, yes, my FIRST of several to come, was encountered when the MS Office Suite install seemed to hang. WTF? :irked: Grrrrrrr! I HATE it when something doesn't go smoothly. I redid the MS Office reinstall, but it kept gnawing at me as to WHY did it happen and had anything been adversely affected. I was confident that I could still achieve my 4 hour target. I then got to the AOL install. It installed fine. Then I got to that PITA sequence of Log Ons & Log Offs to load the AOL Updates. That wasn't going smoothly. The Log Offs seemed to be hanging. :bomb: Crap! On at least 2 occasions, I thought my computer was locked up, so I escaped out of there, which is NOT recommended because the Updates can get Fugged Up. Well, they must have indeed gotten Fugged Up because now none of the Updates were going smoothly. Nevertheless, I had supposedly finished the AOL Updates.

I went to my neighbors' place and downloaded the latest version of my avast Anti-Virus, GIMP and SUPERAnti-Spyware. I came back and installed avast. I decided to Log Off to make sure no more AOL Updates would download. As soon as I clicked on "Sign Off," I realized avast was in the process of downloading its Virus Signature Updates. Aww Shit! Son of the BEACH! I shouldn't have Logged Off. AOL Logged Off. :yikes: I Logged back On. Now avast seemed to be locked up and AOL navigation was very slow. Crap! I uninstalled and reinstalled avast. Nope! Now there was still a problem with avast and AOL. :furious:

I was now in Pre-Panic mode. I decided, "Well, let me switch over to my HP Pavilion Windows XP computer and at least install GIMP in that one. I want to at least feel confident that THAT computer is still working properly." The GIMP install went without a hitch. Then avast on that computer started to download its Updates. I knew the avast Updates would take longer since I hadn't used the computer in 5 or 6 days. But, now I was really beginning to get concerned. The avast Updates download had already taken longer than it usually takes when I haven't used the computer in 5 or 6 days. I was trying to remain calm. I decided I'd just go eat and let it finish the avast Updates download. I came back and it still wasn't finished. WTF? This was NOT Good. nervous Still trying to keep from going into Panic mode, I decided to go take a shower. I figured, "It MUST surely be finished downloading the avast Updates by then."

I came out of the shower. I went and checked on the avast Updates download status. Son of a Sewer Rat! The Fugger was still NOT finished. :bomb: I concluded that it was official. Something was Fugged Up. I faced the undesired reality that I HAD to escape out of the avast Updates download. And that in doing so, I was now quite conceivably gonna wind up with TWO computers NOT working properly! But, what choice did I have? I took a deep breath and was getting ready to click on "Sign Off" when suddenly I went, "Hey, let me go check if my AOL friend Kathy replied to my E-mail already." She had replied. So, I spent a little bit of time reading her E-mail. That E-mail detour turned out to be the Lifesaver. It took just enough time so that suddenly, the Blue Box popped up, indicating that the download was complete … after 1 hour and 42 minutes. That was an aberration. It had never happened before. avast Updates are always quick and problem free. Had I not thought about checking for that E-mail Reply, I would have probably screwed up my 2nd computer also.

I then turned my attention to my main computer, my old Windows 98SE Gateway. I looked at the clock and decided, "Okay, this computer NEEDS to be working by the end of the day. I cannot afford to still be Fugging around with it on Sunday. I have other things to do … like write my weekly Blog Post. With my HP Pavilion now verified to be working and with the way my luck has gone the entire day, I'm NOT gonna waste anymore time troubleshooting and getting nowhere." So, I dove into a 2nd Windows Reinstall on my Gateway in the same day. It's NOT the 1st time I've had to go through that. I hate it with a passion when I've had to do that. Nevertheless, the 2nd Windows Reinstall went without a hitch and I did complete it at right around the 4 hours that I had predicted would happen with my Install new routine. Of course, it WAS like around 11:30PM when I finished. To think that I was supposed to have been long before that finished at 2:00PM!

Aren't you glad that Windows XP has restore option? And it only takes a few minutes to do on my Acer and Compaq, maybe 10 min. or less. So, if the Pavilion fuggs up, do a restore to a time when it was working right. I am sure will take longer on your dialup, but lot simpler than having to install the whole OS and reset everything. That is a ROYAL PITA.

Sorry you had so much trouble, Chuck. Seems if one thing goes wrong in a day, others follow. I believe it is a set-in-concrete fact of life.

But it did give me an interesting and amusing blog to read. I can just see Chuck pulling his hair and glowering at both pcs and possibly shaking his fist at them and cussing.

Suntana 6. July 2009, 03:02

I did have the System Restore capability of the Pavilion in the back of my mind for if I HAD derailed the Pavilion to semi-Crap status. It's just that:
(a) I've never used it. I wouldn't know right off the bat how to perform it.
(b) I don't know what all it fixes. I've read that it doesn't necessarily fix all problems.

You know what actually popped into my mind as I was in the middle of it happening yesterday? Your Comedy of Errors Post. Your last last sentence is actually about just about right on the money.

lovinmalamutes 6. July 2009, 04:46

Sounds like a fun time. NOT!!! I know when one thing goes wrong, it is a prelude to several more things following. It never fails.

I can imagine you wanting to kick that computer like a football, but knowing it would knock you flat on your back!!!

L2D2 6. July 2009, 05:05

System restore? Look at the help topics Chuck. And when you do a system restore, it tells you what to do. No biggy. If you have problems, say today, but your pc was working just fine 3 days ago, then you either find a restore point that coincides with performance 3 days ago, or you can create your own restore point and you pc will restore everything back to the way it was at that point in time. Doesn't change your settings at all. XP may be a little different from Vista restore, but I think my info is accurate enough.
Click on system restore and investigate it. It won't jump out and choke you or start the process unless you give it the command. Be brave.

Zaphira 6. July 2009, 08:27

I just hate it when updates goes wrong, and especially when something that used to work, doesn't work after the update. :furious:

Computers are just supposed to work and make life more fun!

lovinmalamutes 6. July 2009, 13:06

You've got that right Zaphira!! I don't think I should have to become an engineer in computers just to use this computer.:irked: I have learned more about rebuilding this darn thing then I have in the usage of it.:bomb:

SouthernCross 6. July 2009, 14:55

I remember when I was 10 years old with Windows 98SE. Be all like, "Oh, the computer is starting to act slow, Reinstall time."

Back then, I nor my parents knew about what the shiznit Anti-Virus or Anti-Spyware was. :faint:

Sigh...when I get my new laptop I'm gonna have to download all the Anti-Virus shiz, Zune software and whatnot on my slow connection. :faint:

Suntana 6. July 2009, 15:19

Yep, Andrew, I read somewhere that while Microsoft will deny it, periodic Reinstalls are part of regular maintenance on Windows 98. It's NOT something you can avoid if you're really careful how you use your computer. It's a fact of life. If your computer has Windows 98, you WILL have to perform periodic Reinstalls.

Hey, Andrew, when you get your new Laptop, do what I do now. Get with a neighbor or friend who has a High Speed connection and download whatever Apps you need. Burn them onto a CD. Then go back and slap that CD into your Laptop and transfer those Apps' Setup Engines to your Desktop. You will save literally HOURS of download time. I remember back when with each Windows Reinstall, I would download avast, Windows Media Player 9, Opera, Firefox, IrfanView, IZArc and some other stuff with my Dial Up. :yikes: :faint: I'd start my Windows Reinstall on Friday evening and it would get extended into Saturday and sometimes even Sunday, depending on if there were problems. Now by borrowing someone's High Speed connection, I can accomplish the task in 4 hours ... if everything goes well like with the 2nd Reinstall on Saturday.

avast alone used to take between 2½ to 3 hours to download on my Dial Up. Using my neighbors' High Speed connection on Saturday, it took 3 minutes! So yes, Andrew, go bribe or blackmail someone or mow their lawn so that they can let you use their High Speed connection to download all your stuff when you get your new Laptop.

SouthernCross 6. July 2009, 15:26

I normally keep the installer in my Downloads folder but they can get pretty outdated if they don't include an auto-updater. :faint:

Luckily, my cousins have high speed Internet. P: ...My faithful good 'ol neight that I never knew moved away and took his un-passworded wireless Internet with him. :irked:  :faint:

A typical new computer set-up for me takes ...4~6 hours with my connection. :faint: So...friends and neighbors are here for a reason.

lovinmalamutes 6. July 2009, 15:27

Hey Andrew you could use my high speed connection if you were closer. I'd share! :D

Suntana 6. July 2009, 16:23

Yep, that's why I re-download avast every time I perform a Windows Reinstall because while technically I could use the same Setup Engine from a CD each subsequent time, the Virus Signature Update process would take a long time.

That is quite some nerve of that neighbor to move like that ... leaving you without FREE Wireless Internet. That's rude.

And as for using my neighbors' High Speed connection? I don't feel like some nuisance sponging pest. :insane: I've made several fancy MS Word Forms for the woman for her job. I made her Résumé. I was the one who ran the Diags on their DSL recently when it was Kaput and told them what the problem was. So, it's a mutual benefit arrangement.

PainterWoman 6. July 2009, 16:36

Oh man Carlos, I think I would have gone off the deep end, unplugged everything and taken my pc to my computer guy. I had 98 back on my old pc but never did a reinstall, ever. Have XP now on a Dell I bought two years ago.

rose-marie 6. July 2009, 21:05

 Sounds like a nice annual tradition you got yourself there. Exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time! p:

SouthernCross 6. July 2009, 21:15

Windows 98SE was actually a pretty simple and easy re-install process. It was kinda' like un-installing and installing any other program. At least for me. :right:

....I need to make some mutual arrangements...:sing: Oh!~ Password un-protected wireless guy~ COME BACK~ COME BACK~

L2D2 6. July 2009, 21:26

 I had someone (nearby I suppose) talking over my pc speakers recently. Young people having a fun conversation. Kept it up for a long time. Have no idea how or why that happened.

Grandmomster 7. July 2009, 02:35

:sst: Peppermint, are you hearing voices? :insane:

do you have wireless speakers?

L2D2 7. July 2009, 04:03

no. I have absolutely no idea how I got these people talking through my pc, but it happened. off and on for some time. I have an AT&T modem router called 2-Wire that can be used with cables or as wireless. So, I am thinking maybe someone used me for a hotspot, maybe someone near me. Just don't know.

Suntana 7. July 2009, 04:05

Pam, I didn't have a choice. I AM my Computer Guy.

Suntana 7. July 2009, 04:09

Rose, as exciting and nerve-wrecking as my tradition is, I wouldn't want any part of that other July 4th tradition ... the Hot Dog Eating Contest. Did you hear about that one? The Winner ate 60 Hot Dogs in 10 minutes! :eyes: :yikes: :yuck: :faint: I couldn't even eat 60 Hot Dogs in 10 DAYS!

Zaphira 7. July 2009, 04:23

Eew, 60 hotdogs?! :yikes: I might eat 60 hotdogs in a lifetime. :faint:

L2D2 7. July 2009, 05:13

I get a hot dog sometimes at Weinerschnitzel and have them put sauerkraut on it. And I like Sonic Extra-long cheese coneys, but hotdogs are not one of my preferred meals.

lovinmalamutes 7. July 2009, 12:14

I don't care for hot dogs! Even the name is gross. Who wants to eat a Hot Dog, next you'll want to add Hush puppies!!!p:

Pusilille 7. July 2009, 19:21

My top heading is gone Carlos!!! :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

Pusilille 7. July 2009, 19:30

Carloooooooossssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Help me....PLEASE!!!

SouthernCross 7. July 2009, 19:45

@Pusilille

The header link: http://files.myopera.com/SuntanaLab/files/MetteHeader.png

Doesn't work, maybe it was removed by mistake. P: Chuck is the only one that can fix. :wait:

Pusilille 7. July 2009, 19:48

Suntana 7. July 2009, 22:24

Yeah, Andrew, I inadvertently deleted Mette's Header File during some routine File purging. It's that I had forgotten that her Header File is actually in my SuntanaLab Files. I normally have people upload their Blog's required images into THEIR Opera Files. But, on the day that I installed Mette's CSS Code and uploaded her images, my Dial Up was misbehaving. :bomb: It refused to upload the Header since it's the biggest of the 4 images I had to upload. So, I set her CSS Code to access her Header from my SuntanaLab Files.

When I first saw Mette's Header missing, I just assumed it was Opera NOT rendering the page correctly since we all know that happens periodically. Once Mette informed me SHE couldn't see her Header, I very quickly knew what to check out.

It's fixed now.

Suntana 7. July 2009, 22:38

I LOVE Chili Cheese Dogs! About the most Chili Cheese Dogs that I've eaten in 1 seating is probably 4.

While the Hot Dogs they eat in those Hot Dog Eating Contests are just plain ole Bun & Wienie ... 60 of those are still a LOT of BULK to wolf down at the feverish pace that they go at it in 10 minutes. And they're sorta soaking the Hot Dogs in water and drinking a little bit of water. The next morning, I saw on the Today Show what the little mountain of 60 Hot Dogs looks like. :eyes: :yikes: :ko: They asked the Winner how he was doing. He goes, "Oh, it's going through the system." :insane: Man! They must feel like they have a watermelon inside them after the contest. :faint:

Suntana 8. July 2009, 21:57

:::Sigh::: I can't believe this friggin' Shit!
As y'all obviously know by now, I performed 2 Windows Reinstalls on my Gateway Windows 98SE computer this past Saturday. Well, guess what? It's gonna need another one! :yikes: I'm serious. Something got seriously Fugged Up this morning. Opera had been dragging ass as I was trying to search for some stuff for Agneta's Blog Theme. So, I decided to do the ole Profile Reset and Private Data Clearing and what the heck, a Reboot as well. Theoretically, it should have been good as new after all of that.

After the Reboot was done, suddenly I notice a message informing me that AOL is ready to install the Files needed to establish my connection. WTF? I didn't want to do that, but there was no "Cancel" ... "Exit" ... "Escape" or "X" option. So, I just pressed the Reset Button. I might as well have pressed a "Windows FUBAR" Button because Windows didn't work properly after that. Neither Reboots nor Power Down & Power Up fixed anything. I couldn't open up much of anything after that. :bomb:

My immediate concern was that Agneta's Header on which I had been working was in there and NOT yet backed up on a CD. Everything else was backed up. I even tried to save Agneta's Header (MS Word Doc) onto a Floppy, but the File was too big. It would have probably NOT saved anyway. I tried to see if I had just enough capability to burn the File onto a CD. Nope! Easy CD Creator wasn't even acknowledged. :furious: I finally faced reality that I'm gonna have to perform yet another Windows Reinstall. It's gonna have to wait until the weekend though. I'm in no mood to engage in another 4-hour bit.

I quickly hooked up my HP Pavilion Windows XP computer. I then Hauled Shell and recreated Agneta's Header totally from scratch. :ko: It's done. I'm back to where I was with it yesterday.

L2D2 8. July 2009, 23:01

What a crock, Chuck. Why don't you backup all your programs on CD or DVD, or get a flash drive and transfer everything to that, then install Windows XP on the Gateway? I am thinking that since XP is still getting updates (you are doing auto. updates aren't you) it would give maybe updates to your Office suite.

Suntana 8. July 2009, 23:46

I do keep my stuff backed up very well, Peppermint. I updated my Backup CDs this past Saturday. Good thing I did that because I was then able to transfer all of that stuff into my Pavilion. Well, everything except Agneta's project because I started that one on Sunday ... AFTER all that updating. Other than Agneta's project, the Pavilion now has all the stuff that the Gateway has.

Remember I can't seem to Copy from MS Word onto Windows Paint? Well, I was able to recreate Agneta's Header by using the Screen Capture workaround instead of Copy. It worked. Now I just have to little by little, eventually learn Paint.NET, GIMP and Photoshop now that with being on the Pavilion, I have access to ALL of my design arsenal.

Yes, the Pavilion is set to Auto Windows Updates. It scared me about a week or so ago. I noticed too late, right as soon as I clicked on Power OFF that it was going to download 5 Updates. :yikes: Then when I powered up again, the Pavilion's typical 6½ minute Bootup went up to 15 minutes! :insane: I was like, "Shit! Crap! That is NOT good! I do NOT want to be dealing with a typical Boot up of 15 minutes." :bomb: But, I guess on that 1st Power Up after the Update, something must have been settling in because after that, the Bootups went back down to 6½ to 7 minutes. Whew!

L2D2 9. July 2009, 01:00

On Vista, my Acer automatically restarts if needed to set an update, and it will boot back up and stay at my login window.

If I restart manually while doing updates, it will tell me not to turn off my computer, then it will go ahead and install updates before it shuts down, which sometimes is a number of minutes. Then when it reboots, it takes a bit for it to "Configure updates" Configuring update one....update 2,,,,so forth. When it gets them all configured it brings up my desktop, so, in effect, that was what the Pavilion was doing also; just didn't tell you all that.

Speaking of pcs, since I took that filter off my phone jack, my internet is faster. The guy at Best Buy told me the Geek Squad guy told him that the DSL filter on my particular modem slows down internet speed, and I guess that is right. When I checked my connection speed today, it had changed from 1kbsp (or whatever) to 2. So that is one good thing out of the load of crap I have had the last couple days.

Suntana 9. July 2009, 02:39

Yep, that's obviously what the Pavilion was doing.
It WAS informing me (Before Shutdown) as it installed each Update. But, it did NOT inform me what it was doing on that subsequent Power Up. All I knew is that that orange Hard Drive light stayed solidly ON for 15 minutes. I seriously contemplated at the time to do a System Restore back to before those Updates and then disable the Auto Updates. But, now I left them enabled.

Yeah, your Internet might be faster now, but without the filter now, all the Bad Words are gonna start making it through. Just watch my profusely foul language start below:

Just Kidding!

L2D2 9. July 2009, 02:48

I imagine you have got my latest PM by now with all the pictures URLs. I did as you suggested and went back and found some of them. There were way too many to go through all of today's history. For some reason, I never think to use that function.

While I was about it, I deleted the history after I found the pictures. That first one is still my favorite.

Suntana 9. July 2009, 22:19

Yep, I got your PM, Peppermint. That's great that my suggestion about the History function saved you some time and hair pulling out. I never use it myself either. It might have been easier for you had you been on AOL. I believe on AOL, all the recent URLs pop up when you click on the Arrow there in the URL slot. Maybe Opera has that function also. We probably just have to enable it somewhere.

I believe I did find in those links that you sent me, what I'll need to update your Blog Theme.

Suntana 9. July 2009, 22:33

Woo Hoo! Woot Woot! Ahhh Ooooooo! :hat:
Peppermint, I did it! I hit Paydirt ... Jackpot!
I finally had success with that which had eluded me for quite a while. I finally found a way to make images transparent. While I had already previously installed Photoshop in my Gateway, I barely installed it in my Pavilion a while ago.

I got out my - Teach Yourself VISUALLY Photoshop 6.0 - book out. I looked up Transparency in the index. I had done that before, but there are about 4 sections in there, which talk about Transparency. Where I had previously looked, didn't help. Where I looked today, it talked about the Magic Eraser. Well, Magic is WAS cuz it did the trick!

For test purposes, I copied & pasted the Whataburger Miracle Cure bottle image on a 2nd layer on top of the image of my Blog's Header. With the Magic Eraser, I just clicked in the white areas of Background on the Whataburger image that I wanted to make Transparent and BAMM! It was DONE!

So, this bit of Great News neutralizes a lot of the Pissed Off status in which I had been since yesterday when the Gateway got Fugged Up.

lovinmalamutes 9. July 2009, 22:40

Let's hear it for "Magic Erasers" *invisible audience clapping*p:

L2D2 9. July 2009, 23:34

Not so invisible hand clapping. Yay! I knew you would figure it out! Woot! Hip Hip Hooray!

Somewhere I have heard of that Magic Eraser, but have no idea where I ran across it. Maybe in Gimp? Or reviews of Gimp? Dunno.

Fix it up and let me look at it. Feel free to play around with transparency in my design if you like. Just don't lose my present code and images.

lovinmalamutes 10. July 2009, 01:39

I only had the invisible audience available. Thanks Pepepermint :D

Suntana 10. July 2009, 03:13

Now maybe Photoshop will become my New Design Buddy since I got somewhere faster with it than with Paint.NET. I haven't per se given GIMP a chance yet, but it IS installed now. It's just that Layers and Image Transparency was what I really wanted to be able to do and now I have with Photoshop.

ME lose code and images? When have I ever done that?
Ohhh! Well, Mette's disappearing Header was an aberration. :o:

In YOUR case, Peppermint, all of your Blog's images are in YOUR Opera Files. None are being accessed from SuntanaLab. Any messing around with changes to your Blog's Design will be done at SuntanaLab. Any changes will NOT go into your Blog until you approve them.

I have your current CSS Code and Blog Images in the Pavilion and on CD, Peppermint. So, there's no need to worry. Trust me. I'm a professional. Okay, so I'm NOT a professional since I don't get paid for this. Homer: Doh! But, I'm an Expert Dabbler.

Grandmomster 10. July 2009, 03:32

Is that dabble that you do Chuck? Or babble? I'm confused, but I've had a long day

L2D2 10. July 2009, 03:47

He does both Stacey. Hi Stacey. Had a long tiring day? Well, talk to us awhile. We will cheer you right up. Haha. Where are my cowboy hat pictures?

Grandmomster 10. July 2009, 04:11

If he would let me I would send you a couple, but he says no to the ones I already have. I'll get em.
Long day...lots of wedding stuff:) I'm excited but tired. Rings, dresses, phone calls, e mails and a 3 mile walk to keep my a** in shape.

Suntana 10. July 2009, 04:51

I dabble, babble, razzle and dazzle with precision and style! :headbang:

L2D2 10. July 2009, 04:56

Are you talking about your own wedding? You mentioned it once before but I have been told nothing about wedding plans or when it is or WHO it is. Enlighten me gal. I think there are a few things you have failed to inform me about.

Grandmomster 10. July 2009, 06:10

WHO? Its me! Stacey! Lol:) Oh and this absolutely wonderful Man named Paul  I think you might know him
When is September 26th!
Wooooooohoooooo!!!!

lovinmalamutes 10. July 2009, 14:18

Stacey, why are you hiding it all? Good Grief we are all rooting for you and Paul, so we should get to hear about the plans.:right:

lovinmalamutes 10. July 2009, 14:19

When should I expect my invite???p:

Grandmomster 10. July 2009, 14:59

We weren't keeping it secret, but with all the "issues" surrounding my daughters we were trying to be sensitive to their feelings.

We are working on the invites now
Its going to be in Northern Idaho so that my family can be there. My mom and step dad no longer travel, so they offered to have it in their yard. Its absolutely beautiful there and just the right size for a cozy wedding site.
Like I said we are doing the invites right now, and I will be putting it in a "friends only" post.
It would be so cool if a few Opera friends could come. Because this is where we met Opera and our friends here will forever be very special to us.
