Blog Owner Test Comment:

We were now down to our Last Gig. One afternoon, we decided to have a Practice session. We called Eddie to see if he was going to be there as we used to practice at his house. He said that yes, he'd be there. So, my brother, my cousin, my older sister who was now singing with us, and I walked like half a mile over to Eddie's house. As we get there, we see Eddie getting into some car. We go, "Hey, what's up? Where you going?" Eddie goes, "I'm going riding." We're like, "What do you mean, riding? What about practice? We called you and you said you'd be here." Eddie just went something like, "Ehhh, Pfffffttttt! I'm not in the mood. We can practice some other time." He got in the car with some friend and drove off … just like that, leaving us standing there after we walked to his house.

We unfortunately eventually get there … the Nexus of Nuisance. Be Strong! Don’t make Eye Contact! Oops! Too late. We made eye contact for a nanosecond. no One of the inhabitants of this Nexus of Nuisance has initiated a precise interception trajectory. We finally find ourselves Face to Face … Mano a Mano up against a nefarious Mall Desperado! The Mall Desperado seems to have an advantage as there is the unmistakable presence of this rectangular weapon in one of his / her arms. Battle will now most assuredly ensue. With the rectangular weapon extremely close to our body, the intrepid Mall Desperado makes a preemptive strike … "Excuse me! Could I ask you some questions?" pirate Will you be able to neutralize the Clipboard … Errr, I mean, the rectangular weapon? lol

Lovinmalamuteslovinmalamutes Sunday, May 24, 2009 7:37:09 PM

I took your advice. I am strong willed, and at times stubborn, but I am an intelligent reasonable woman, and at times even rational LMAO.whistle lol

L2D2 Sunday, May 24, 2009 7:42:59 PM

Well, sometimes rational is the best we can expect from a BIW and KAW! And speaking of rational, we better quit commenting on Chucks test blog. He will be onto us like ducks on a june bug. This is my last comment here.

I'm about to start the process, Lucy.

This is beautiful. My colors for sure. Next one may use this color family Chuck

SuntanaLab Monday, June 29, 2009 5:40:19 AM

Thanks, Peppermint! happy I lucked out that I found that Pink foreground early without having to go through tons of swatches with my Dial Up. The same with the Purple flowers. The weird is that I was leaning towards have some sort of Greenish Fixed Background since Mette like Flowers. But, when I was in that Nature / Flowers category, that Purple flowers Background caught my eye. I originally had a different Background in the Header. It was a Pink closer to the color of the one in the foreground, just with a different pattern. When I was searching for a Fixed Background for the sides, I saw that Redish, flowery swatch and immediately thought of trying it in the Header.

I'm off to go install it in Mette's Blog.

MettePusilille Tuesday, June 30, 2009 7:29:25 PM

This is lovely too Carlos! wink
(mine is best though wink )

Lovinmalamuteslovinmalamutes Wednesday, July 1, 2009 1:49:38 PM

This is a gorgeous purple.
Not as purple as mine but a lovely color!

SuntanaLab Thursday, July 2, 2009 8:32:30 PM

Well, I'm glad y'all like this.
Actually, right now it is available to whoever wants it.

I'm going to eventually going to be making another one for Mags. This one was too dark for what she had in mind.
I then offered it to someone else, but they too were looking for something lighter.

Anyway, this Purple theme is about to go off.
I'm about to test YOUR theme Update, Lucy.
If everything is Cool.
I'm about to send you your New CSS.

L2D2 Friday, July 3, 2009 3:14:07 AM

Chuck I am so mad. Several days ago I started looking for new background pictures. I put my message to you with links in its own tab so that I could add new links as I went. Well, crap, I accidentally xd out of that tab, so all my hard work was gone. Haven't had the heart to start over again yet. I want a different garden with flowers. If you find something give me a link.

SuntanaLab Tuesday, July 7, 2009 3:11:11 PM

Oh, I know that situation, that feeling all too well.
One inadvertent wrong Click and POOF! A lot of work down the drain. Heck, it almost happened yesterday. I was working on a 2nd version of Agneta's Header. I could have sworn I saved it. When I went to access it again, I encountered the 1st version. I was like, "WHAT? no no no I KNOW I saved it! Where is it?" Well, I was partly right. I was getting ready to start from scratch when I scrolled down and realized that what I had saved was that Doc right after I had put together the right size of that 2nd version's Background. But, the Background was still down in Page 2 ... NOT inside the Header yet. So, all I had to do was move the Background over into inside the Header and VOILA! I was back in business. I of course then made sure I save THAT.

Anyway, on to your project.
Sooo, by different garden, do you mean even the Parchment would POOF!?? Be Gone? Or do you want to keep the Parchment both in the Header and in the Foreground? Do you want to change just the content of the Header and get a NEW Fixed Background?

Sometime back, you loosely tossed around the idea of going WITHOUT a Header Border ... just an image in there. Are you still wanting to go that route. That route is probably best for when there's really a BIG Pic covering the entire Header and there are very few if any Knick Knacks and Bells & Whistles in there. If you still plan on having a Mini Buffet of Knick Knacks in your Header, we might have to still keep it contained in a Border.

Okay, regardless of whether you go with a Header Border or not ... are you going to want to go with something different than your current Brass?

PM me and give me more details on just EXACTLY what and how you want things changed. This way I know what to look for.

L2D2 Tuesday, July 7, 2009 5:24:08 PM

Right now I want nothing to change except the fixed background and maybe the picture in the header. When you have time Haha I want a picture of some garden probably more informal and more natural looking than the Japanese Garden I have. Cottage garden, woodland garden with flowers, something on that order. There are so many pretty flower garden pictures but not sure if they would work, or if you can crop the picture to just use part of it. I will start looking again.

I want to keep my code that I have now someplace safe. Do I copy and paste it to document folder?

SuntanaLab Wednesday, July 8, 2009 2:27:14 AM

Oh, Okay. That shouldn't be a Mega Full Deployment Project of epic proportions. But, you'll have to find me the garden image of which you speak. I know what cottage cheese is, but NOT a cottage garden. lol Woodland garden? Beats me what that is.

Whatever you like and you wonder or THINK you'd like and want to try it out, toss the link over and we'll try it here at SuntanaLab. I can crop ANY picture. Granted sometimes on some rare occasions, depending on the content of the picture, the picture can't be cropped without affecting something in the picture drastically.

As to your CSS Code? Yep, EXACTLY ... just copy it from your Blog's CSS area and paste it onto an MS Word Doc or Open Office Doc and SAVE it. Besides, I also have a copy of your CSS Code. I keep a copy of everyone's CSS Code for whom I've made Blog Themes. That's how I was able to tell right away what happened when Mette's Header disappeared today.

I also save all of my Posts that way, on an MS Word Doc.

L2D2 Saturday, July 11, 2009 6:39:05 AM

Chuck, might be OK on smaller monitors but I am seeing two images on right side. scene starts repeating about one half inch from right edge, and I can see half inch of left side of image.

Shouldn't that be Garden for the Soul?

MettePusilille Saturday, July 11, 2009 8:37:09 AM

That garden underneath is enormeus! wink
Lovely design Carlos!! smile

Lovinmalamuteslovinmalamutes Saturday, July 11, 2009 1:08:31 PM

I get the same view. It is beautiful though! On a 24" monitor it really repeats. Just thought you would want to know!!

SuntanaLab Saturday, July 11, 2009 8:26:25 PM

Thanks a bunch for the feedback, Peppermint, Mette, Lucy. yes This isn't the final product yet. And that isn't THE Background that's going to go in the theme. I was just experimenting with what type of image would go well.

Yeah, it's still a work in progress. We haven't even decided whether the Background is going to go toward the route of Chilies or Flowers or Garden or just what? Agneta really prefers a Chilies Background, but we're having a tough time finding the right image.

And you're probably absolutely right, Peppermint.
The title probably SHOULD be - Garden for the Soul. I did do some editing on some of the other text Agneta had sent me. I just never caught that issue in the title. I'll change it and tell Agneta. Good catch, Peppermint! up headbang

Peppermint, if you with your Garden and Vegetation-finding prowess can find some awesome Chilies images, PM them my way. Cuz like I said, the ones I've found and the ones Agneta has sent me ... well, there are some good ones, but they're more for like inserting in the Header, NOT for the Fixed Background.

SuntanaLab Saturday, July 11, 2009 8:28:19 PM

BTW, Lucy, what about THIS Green pattern that is in the Foreground ... for YOUR Comment Box on your Blog? It's Green, yet definitely subtle and excellent Text Readability.

SuntanaLab Saturday, July 11, 2009 8:36:31 PM

Hey, Peppermint, you were curious about the Transparency thing. That Red High Heels image on the right was done via a 2nd Layer and the Magic Eraser / Transparency capability on Photoshop. Formerly, before I found out about the Magic Eraser ... Rounded Corners like that, I would have only been able to pull that off on a SOLID color Background, NOT on a patterned Background.

Lovinmalamuteslovinmalamutes Saturday, July 11, 2009 9:47:26 PM

You know it is a lot less blinding than the colors I have now. Although I do love bright colors. This would be more gentle on my friends eyes. If I am really there friend I guess I should help preserve their eyesight. LOL Let me think about it. I am thinking something even lighter pastel.confused

SuntanaLab Saturday, July 11, 2009 10:16:55 PM

Okee Dokey, Lucy, just let me know what 3 colors you come up with. It'll probably be Tuesday or Wednesday when I can dive in and make the Comment Boxes Color Update. If you haven't found any by then, I'll help you. Otherwise, right now I have concentrate on THIS project and hopefully have a final version by Monday.

SuntanaLab Saturday, July 11, 2009 10:30:33 PM

Peppermint, I changed the title from "to the Soul" to "for the Soul" as you pointed out. yes

I changed the Color Gradient on the Header sections to a Lighter - Blue Green shade. I wanted some more Contrast between the Border and the Header Background. Now the Border seems to match the color of the Foreground more appropriately.

I also changed the Sidebar Headings and gave them the same matching Light Blue Green color. They stand out more now.

I'm waiting for a reply from Andrew on how to change the color of the User Names there in the Latest Comments. I want to try changing them to GREEN. Now that I think about it, I believe I have some CSS Code somewhere that will change all of that White Text on the Sidebar to GREEN. I'll go search for it and try it.

Of course ... all of this is pending Agneta's approval. It's NOT a foregone conclusion that she'll Green Light the changes.

SuntanaLab Saturday, July 11, 2009 10:31:16 PM

BTW, the Black Fixed Background is just a place holder.

L2D2 Saturday, July 11, 2009 11:51:16 PM

I like the high heels image but I can barely read the text in there. Maybe change the font or make it sharper? I had to strain to figure out what it said.

The image you used of the flowers is pretty much what I want for my background. You haven't told me which of the images I sent you will work. Remember tht I liked that first one, but I liked the one you showed here, too, as well as the others I sent.

This green is easier on the eyes. Did you send Lucy to that GRS or GSR site? maybe she can find her comment colors there.

I like the sidebar headers here.

Lovinmalamuteslovinmalamutes Sunday, July 12, 2009 12:00:34 AM

I am in no rush Chuck. I know how busy you are. I read all the buttering up you got. You must be as slippery as an eel by now.devil lol Any way you did give me a link for me to look at colors ect... and of course I can't find it. I would like it if you could give it to me again and tell me how I can save it, if I can. Thanks Chuck! If this color were more watercolor like it would be perfect. I think the paler the better. I don't want to conflict with my gorgeous purple and bright green.bigsmile up

L2D2 Sunday, July 12, 2009 12:05:28 AM

GRSsites.com Lucy. Go there, then Bookmark it or on this browser, add it as a favorite.

Lovinmalamuteslovinmalamutes Sunday, July 12, 2009 12:13:01 AM

COOL peppermint, Thank You!up bigsmile

SuntanaLab Sunday, July 12, 2009 1:01:37 AM

Unfortunately, Peppermint, I can't change the Font on the High Heels image. That came with the image. I didn't insert that. It looks great with the image in regular size. Really, that image isn't ideal to be sized down that small. Two options would be:
(1) Black that wording out and use just the Legs & High Heels. Nothing wrong with that. devil
(2) Black the wording out and insert the same text in MS Word.

I'll see if maybe I experiment with that at a later time.

Are you talking about the image of flowers that I had HERE on Agneta's Blog Theme earlier? THAT's what you would want? I could grant you that wish. I'd just have to make sure I crop the image to the same dimensions as what your current garden image has so the Repeating Action won't get Fugged Up.

I DID tell you that that HUGE Pic WILL almost assured work on your Blog. Again, I just have to crop it to the right size. I also mentioned that the small Pic would work for inside your Header.

I did send Lucy the GRSite link. But, I see now that she lost it ... AND that you now provided it again for her. Bookmark it, Lucy.

SuntanaLab Sunday, July 12, 2009 1:06:07 AM

So, you like the updated, Lighter Blue Green Sidebar Headers better, Peppermint? One of the reasons I wanted to change them and the Header Border to the Lighter shade is because with that grey haze that my Monitor has, which makes things appear brighter than they really are ... I couldn't take a chance that the Header Border and the Sidebar Headings were too dark.

BTW, I did find that CSS Code and have now changed all the Links in the Sidebar area to GREEN to go with the Green theme.

Lovinmalamuteslovinmalamutes Sunday, July 12, 2009 1:26:11 AM

I think it looks pretty darn good. I like the colors.
Yes Chuck I did book mark it. I will let you know. I may end up making my own colors. bigsmile

L2D2 Sunday, July 12, 2009 2:06:21 AM

Which was the big image you are talking about. If it is the one I sent to you in a PM all by itself, for some reason, that one really speaks to me. The one I said was a woodland garden. Slap it up here when you get through with Agneta and we'll see if it suits me.

I love the greeny with the red letter sidebar headers and I really like the neon green text. I like green too, much better than blue.

L2D2 Sunday, July 12, 2009 2:07:25 AM

It will be funny if you end up with more comments here than you have on your Welcome post! lol

L2D2 Sunday, July 12, 2009 2:09:15 AM

Gonna go look for chili peppers. Ya'll probably have found as good as I will find, but I will look. Tell me what she has in mind. Just peppers stylized, natural peppers, peppers in a marketplace? What?

Agneta MuhrAgnetaM Sunday, July 12, 2009 11:36:00 AM

This is I love it !!
Linda thanks for helping!!! Thus will be so good, and I am so happy!!!!yes yes yes

SuntanaLab Sunday, July 12, 2009 6:34:43 PM

It's hard to say what type of image I'm looking for, Peppermint. It's gotta be some image that'll look good in a size of around 3" x 6" and that repeats well. Use your imagination. Suprise me.

SuntanaLab Sunday, July 12, 2009 6:45:27 PM

If I end up with more Comments here than in my Welcome Sticky Post at my Suntana Blog, maybe I'll move in here and change the title of the Post. lol
