Home has been publicly released!!! To all of the people who are still patiently awaiting HOME, I am there with you. I had a slight hunch that the store update would bring HOME to PS3 users, but I was definitely wrong as most people can tell you when they sprung to their PS3's tuesday morning in anticipation of the new update for Sony's PlayStation 3 entertainment system. The new update fixes some of the HD problems the PS3 has been having by including HD sound quality at its highest yet, while all including a very, very broken store. The new store, however as recorded from Kotaku.com, will recieve a quick fix to stabilize the load times and add in the missing pictures. Today being the sixteenth of April, expect to see HOME later this month, or sometime in May. If HOME is not released by May 22nd, for me the last day of school, expect to hear from Sony on the highly anticipated software on their behalf in summer or at E3 '08, which you can catch on G4tv!
Playstation HOME has been many of times delayed and many people have grown impatient of the delays, calling sony out for their almost 2 year delay. A very recent announcement states and is proven true, tomorrow that is, that sony is revamping their ugly interfaced PlayStation Store with many software releases included. And the surprise, who knows?!! Sony states that 'when users long on to the store, they will 'get a surprise, along with more software updates than you can shake a stick at'. I guess we'll see.
As everyone knows, the PS3 has not been experiencing the best console sales over the major three console distributors, lagging behind Microsoft and uber popular Nintendo. But sony has been found to have declared what they call a 'proposal for the future of PS3'. The news of the new Playstation design in the family came shortly after Phil Harrisons long dreaded leave, resigning from Sony to join Atari, who are producing the ten year old remake of 'Alone in the Dark' as of now exclusively for the PS3.(irony is definitely present) This new PS3 sports an ultra thin, slimline design said to be smaller than the body of the slimline PS3. A mockup image of the slimline ps3 has been produced for visual aid, not including usb ports or the memory stick, CF slots... the image is a mockup, but the body is close to what the final product may look like.
This PS3 is possible to produce, with a 50% size reduction in the Cell processor, which took a 95Nm chip down to just 45Nm (using half the energy, and only half of the what was huge fan power). The loss of size of the motherboard of the ps3 also showed, as a well working prototype of a new ps3 motherboard was developed by an industrial site in a Sony test facility. the new motherboard is 74% smaller in thickness and a whopping 44% volume reduction, being only 8" x 7.5"!

To start things off, this is not at all true, just my opinions on what would be done in kingdom hearts III. Whenever Kairi brings the note, what did it say??? Well, don't expect to ever know, because we didn't know in KH1 either... The lead to this game I still very well do not know and therefore cannot replicate. So here are my theories: After the credits are shown rolling, mickey, donald, and goofy were most likely transported by gummi ship away from Destiny Islands. The time the note arrives is probably around a couple of months after the events at the end. It most likely tells of trouble WITH the king or a direct address that tells of a new enemy. Now this is where the story most likely begins. I know nothing more... nothing. But I promise that after I play all three games I will come up with new ideas! Check in after a few years!!! lol
The final game in the 3 game release will be on the mobile phone and come in several varieties. The varieties are the 3D game, the 2D game, and some downscales of each for weaker phones. In Japan, the 3D version will be released first due to higher graphic power phones and the more story-like feel. The mystery behind coded is fairly simple and should not affect the story much at all, so a person who is a fanatic will not have to worry if they do not have a phone to play it on. Coded's story is said to be a little after kingdom hearts Chain of Memories in disney castle when Jiminy cricket discovers, while going through his journal to review the adventure so far, that an entry he doesn't quite remember writing is written in his journal, yet it is in his hand (if that's what you call it) writing. The words "We must return to free them from their torment."are what is written in the journal. Jiminy than says "Only he will know the answer." in which he is referring to king mickey. These events happen as Sora is digitized and is being redeveloped inside of the shell of memories. King Mickey scans the text in the journal that doesn't quite fit and calls on the virtual Sora to lead an adventure to discover the origins behind the text. This game, in its 3D form, is encrypted with a battle scheme where Sora moves blocks around in a puzzle formation. Though the details are scarce dealing with the exact type of puzzles you will be dealing with, the blocks are referred to as 'data' by mickey and jiminy and are of red tron-like design (see above). This game will probably be about $9.99 at the highest in its 3D form and $3.99 in 2D. 3D form is all that has been shown. I have to say that the graphics look amazing, yet I think this is the only game of the three released that will be a Japanese exclusive because not many american phones can support this technology.
There has been a lot of speculation surrounding this game since nintendo also carried the weight of the Kingdom Hearts linking game Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. This game has been shown to deal a lot with The Organization that was first introduced in Chain of Memories. The game surrounds the character that many have grown to love and know as the nobody of Sora, Roxas. In the game Kingdom Hearts 2, the player is started off by playing as the mysterious new character who is later called Roxas. Roxas, in Kingdom Hearts 2, is suspended through tracking for seven days, the seven days he has left before he must rejoin with Sora. The name of the game Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days most likely comes from that saying Roxas and another person [Axel???] must do tasks for Organization XIII in order to 'become members' of the group. The title also suggests that the seven days Roxas is in the Digital Twilight town during Kingdom 2 is the last seven days of the year in which Sora is getting his memories replaced. 358+7=365... 1 year. The mechanics of the game controls are ported nicely to the system with the d pad used as person movement, the action buttons on the left as, well, all of the action, and the touch screen may be used to communicate with wifi users by drawing pictures and writing, though the headset for DS is already out. The action buttons combined with d pad movement, almost like in other Kingdom Hearts titles, are used to defeat enemies, which are also the same new enemies in Birth by Sleep (maybe), the PSP game. Nintendo DS wifi can be used to join other players in head-to-head or co-op play [speculated], and since the DS is getting yet ANOTHER remake with storage and bigger-yet-brighter screens, the creators just may invest in placing a patch that will alow message storage and friend storage to stop the whole not so friendly friend code system. Not a whole lot is known about this game... actually not much at all. But the events will tell just who else was in the organization and just why Sora did not battle Roxas in COM. *UPDATE*- Since the Jump Festa of recent has been going on in Japan, people have actually gotten their hands on this game. There was a conclusion that there will be no voice acting, which was a major plus in other KH titles since they were at par with pixar and Disney... IRONY!!! The game is also said to be released in Japan in late summer to fall of '08, and American/International shores in first-quarter '09. YESSSSSSS!!! Like I did with Birth by Sleep, I will place the interview of Tetsuya Nomura for this game as follows: and I quote "Roxas’ birth will be covered in the game’s prolouge, however the game really begins at the time in which Roxas enters the Organization XIII. Interviewer: Will this game have an ending that has already occurred, like Crisis Core had?Nomura: Where do you think the end is? The point is, how did it get to the point where Roxas to left the Organization? The details of that will be discussed game. The story does not entirely progress going from world to world, but there is a progression in story. Interviewer: Is the 14th Organization Member [Newly Revealed] a new character in the Kingdom Hearts Series? It appears as though the character is…a woman? Nomura: I should bring it up now, that the XIV member is not Namine, since some people believed it to be Namine by seeing the trailer. However it will be explained as to why there’s no pillar for this character, as well as why she never appeared in Kingdom Hearts 2. Multiplayer can be played with up to four people. Not only that, multiplayer gives a sense of freedom, as this mode has no effect on the story. But it is possible to choose less then four, for the multiplayer content. The point is to basically complete given missions. For instance, defeating an enemy or whatever the goal of the mission is. There are various goals, both big and small. There is a constant feeling of competition in multiplayer, so sometimes the player may forget just what the goal is! Multiplayer mode is rather complicated ; we had to design a growth (leveling) system. For example, when Axel is used in Multiplayer mode, Roxas will gain some extra experience from this as well. Also, you are able to customize your character freely." unquote. This game will settle the mysteries between Ven and Roxas and also tell the true tale behind the meaning of the organization and Roxas' means of joining it. This game is also expected to be first released from the 3 games showcased at Squares closed theatre. I know a few new things about this amazing game, curtesy of KHinsider.com and my own semi-brilliant mind. This game will be for the PSP system, but don't let that get you down because the PS3 and PSP connectivity may eventually get some kind of application that will let you play your PSP on the PS3 curtesy of the ad-hoc communication with a new Firmware update sometime in the big '08. In the game there are a total of five new characters that i know of. There are three keyblade wielders that are referred to as "chasers" in the secret movie at the end of kh2 and kh2 final mix. They are the three knight like characters that are in search of a man, who is the 'old man' in the video, dubbed master xehanort. To me, that is what the name 'chasers' comes from. Their names are Terra (young man who takes off his helmet to reveal brown hair and enraged yellow-gold eyes), Ven (Strikingly similar to Sora's nobody Roxas, seems to have a connection of sorts to Aqua. Listen closely. In the opening for KH2, the 'Roxas' character has a checkered wrist band, and the entire game Roxas does have this wrist band, but that is beside the point. Roxas wears the clothing and the same WRIST BAND AS VEN. Did the company just get lazy with character creation??? or did they want to make him very influencial? Only time will tell, sorry.
Is the opening to KH2 actually showing Ven??? We'll see. Anyways, He is frozen by Xehanort and thrown from the cliff in which he was held captive.), and Aqua [The beautiful young blue-haired woman who is also seen helping Terra by casting a reflect spell around him. She is also somehow emotionally tied to Ven very strongly, shown when she catches him after he is frozen and his keyblade is shattered. She also has the same hairstyle and facial expressions as Kairi. Aqua and Ven both have huge blue eyes (these names may not be final, just code names, because of the reason that Terra represents the greek word for earth, Ven is subjectedly short for Venagos, greek for fire, and Aqua is greek for water)]. To side track so that i do not forget, Terra may be the brother of xehanort. Proof lies in the video that is exclusive to final mix+ where 'xehanort' types in the password "brother" into the computer to access his memory room, where the armor of Terra is on the ground. Coincidence? I didn't think so either! Anyways, During the film, it is revealed that all three of the protagonists have some kind of emotional bond, especially that of Ven and Aqua. Many rumors are brewing like that of the three being ancestors of Sora, Riku, and Kairi. Everyone remember Kairi's grandmother??? She said something about 'following her heart' and 'I remember following my heart for him...'. who was she talking about??? hmmmmm... guess we all just might have to wait and find out. The picture below has a shadow resembling either Riku or Terra, maybe even Axel. This shadow, most likely resembling Riku, could just be very important. *UPDATE*- I have some more useful information, basically that of the interview with Tetsuya Nomura, the lead developer for Kingdom Hearts and Most of the Final Fantasy titles that have spanned now for over 20 years. Here is everything Tetsuya said: and I quote "Nomura: Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is being worked on by the same team that created re: Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep’s development had originally started before the development of re: CoM, but production was stopped to complete re: CoM. At first it felt a bit weird starting the project again. I believe this project started before the other two of the Kingdom Hearts games, and I also believe it will be the last to hit the market. The secret ending [from KH2: FM+] is actually a scene from Birth By Sleep, therefore the title of the game is also the same. However, because it is difficult to express such a violent battle as playable content, the secret ending [from KH2: FM+] is an image of the end. This game goes the farthest back in the Kingdom Hearts timeline, about ten years before the original Kingdom Hearts. There is a screenshot of two children playing on the beach, and I believe the fans can understand what that means. [Sora and Riku as children?] There are three Heroes: Terra, Ven, and another character in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. We have already prepared a story for each of them. Therefore, in a way you can say three games were made at the same time. (Laughs) It’s difficult to zap through the explanation right now, as we are still creating all of the scenarios. However, the beginning will be a bit hard to understand, but by completing all three scenarios, the player will understand the entire story. In Kingdom Hearts, Sora meant Sky, Riku meant Land, and Kairi meant Sea. In this game, the three meanings make a large impact on the game. All of the scenarios do take place around the same time, however there are also some gaps between the timelines. Also there are times when all three heroes will meet. I believe it would be better if we gave the players a freedom of choice. However this is still being talked about, but I believe it would be better to choose whoever you want out of the three. For example, the name Xehanort is bought up in Kingdom Hearts 2. The game will answer several things like, “Why is the elderly person who appears in Birth by Sleep bringing up the same name?” and ,”Why is he wearing the same clothes as Ansem in the original Kingdom Hearts?” Another thing I want to bring up, is, “Ven has the same hairstyle, face, clothes, and voice of Roxas, but just who is he?” Moreover, what about the mystery surrounding the existence of Ven and Roxas? These are keys that will be revealed from playing Birth By Sleep. You will be able to separate Ven from Roxas with ease; I will hint though by connecting the story between Roxas and Sora, you will understand who Ven is. Interviewer: In Birth by Sleep, after all three are divided, the king appears? Nomura: It may be deeply related to the story,however I cannot tell whether or not that he is a”King” at that current age. This is because the development of Birth by Sleep will contain a very serious story. [Meaning…Mickey hasn’t been officially crowned a king yet??] I believe it is necessary to say first, The Command Menu that was shown to the public [A.K.A scans, and video] has now changed. A system close to that of re:COM has been created, feeling like a command deck. However, the present screen shots show it was a bit too close to the idea of re:COM. The battle screens you see in the images now, have already been changed. However the operating sense is similar to that of the Kingdom Hearts series. The gameplay has slight influence from the DS game “It’s a Wonderful World”. A new Growth System has been added into the game, in which you have to match four obligations with the scenario (?). We tried this variously because it was a bit hard with the PSP. However we made the best use of its Analog. The new enemy is not a Heartless, or a Nobody, because the story takes place before even they appear. I can only give out more information, little by little, as time passes: an example being like the Shadow enemies that are heartless, and the Dusk enemies that are nobodies." unquote. Though it is a pretty vague interview in my eyes, this info could be put together to reveal a lot. I will be talking a lot about this game until its arrival, as well as the other two that were announced. *UPDATE*- JUST TO ADD, THE KEYBLADE MASTER XEHANORT DRAWS KINGDOM HEARTS FROM HIS KEYBLADE!!! IS THIS THE ORIGINAL KEY TO DARKNESS???
