About me

I think I was born a singer (contemporary gospel), and have always loved music, especially playing the piano. These have been my primary gifts. I like to write. I like technology and books. Sure, I like the "girlie" stuff, am interested in skin care and makeup, and like to wear beautiful fragrance. I have adopted three lovely cats, who are sisters (Faith, Hope and Charity). Wow, what a blessing they are to me, and what joy they bring! I love all these things, the music, people and animals (although, to me, my cats are not animals; they are my confidants and my companions)...but what I'm most passionate about, and would share with you, is my love of the study of Scripture. As a child, before I could read, I had a little black Bible. I'd stare into it intently, being certain everything I needed for my life was contained within the covers of The Book! I was only two, but I wanted to know what was in,...The Book. Today, I'm still studying Scripture. My favorite way to study, on a daily basis, is by internet streaming Dr.J.Vernon McGee's THRU THE BIBLE RADIO NETWORK teaching programs. There is the Mon-Fri "Bible Bus," and the wonderful Sunday Sermon each Sunday. Bott Radio Network airs the Thru the Bible programs (and other fine teaching programs), but I like the convenience of the internet stream. And there are many free downloads and study resources on the TTB site! I'm still learning there are many ways to serve God's people. Sometimes, we serve by offering encouragement, a kind word, or a reminder of a Scripture passage, for someone who may be struggling today. It is amazing, the possibilities that have been opened up to us by the internet! What an amazing journey is this life! We have a Blessed Hope, Who is the promise of great joy! Oh..I wanted say this, to anyone who stops by, to read this little bio...if YOU are struggling today...if you are unsettled or uncertain about your life, please know that YOUR LIFE MATTERS...It is interesting to note that most of the Bible is written about PEOPLE and how the Lord works in the lives and hearts of His PEOPLE. The Bible records more about this than about the creation, or anything else. So, just know, that YOU MATTER. You and your soul are important to God. The Almighty Creator seeks to have a relationship with YOU and to work daily in YOUR life through Jesus Christ! You can surely settle things and know that they are settled!

My work

I've worked mostly in ministry, sometimes, as a prayer counselor. Looking back, I remember my mother's example...she taught me that giving to others would surely give back to me. If my music blessed anyone else, then I went home blessed, as well. She was right, as I never feel more alive than when I sing or play music. When we follow God's plan for us, then we are truly successful. For a while, I had a little email ministry and moderated a Christian chat room. I've done many kinds of office and telephone work. These were my privilege because I like to talk with people. I have worked for the headquarters of a large ministry (please don't ask me which one, thanks!) The thing about work is, to work wherever we are called. With Dr.McGee's Thru the Bible lessons, we've been studying in the Book of Numbers. He eplained how each one of the children of Israel was to know who he really was and where he belonged in the camp. God has a certain order; He has a plan. Today, we, too, need to know who we are in Christ and where He wants us to be in the camp! My mother always said, "A job worth doing is worth doing well." There is always an opportunity to lift up someone if we open our eyes to see it.

Why I choose the Opera browser

For about 12 years, I've chosen OPERA. I choose OPERA today for many of the same reasons that I chose it when I first discovered it! I choose OPERA because: (1) it's HUGE and RICH in features, but SMALL in its footprint. It runs light, but looms large. (2) It still protects my privacy and guards my security; so much so, that I have never felt quite comfortable using any other browser. (3) I enjoy the way OPERA is a fully integrated suite; and, while I'm not a tech, I'm free to use any and all features I need and like. OPERA allows me to learn as I go, and I have done so for the past 12 years! This means OPERA continues to be a growth experience, and the learning never gets old. (4) I appreciate how well Opera works with software I like to use, and with any OS (I've used it as far back as Windows Me, and still use it on XP Pro, Vista, and Windows 7. OPERA works with them all, and with all the other software that I favor. (5) OPERA is fastest, if I need to get it done in a flash (6) My fav features are too many to name, but a few are: "enable plugins on demand," "disable referrers" with the check of a box (I always had to use an extension to do that in FF), "wand," "panels," and nobody did tabbed browsing with such style before OPERA! (7) Customize nearly anything! (8) And, YES, I actually DO use M2! (9) And, Oh...did I say it's all free? Yep, I used to pay for OPERA! How nice, I no longer need to do so! Oh, and "kudos" to OPERA for buying FASTMAIL(do we think, maybe, OPERA is smart)? Cause....I use that, too! SusieStar
