Beyond the Clouds

. . . and trying to get to the other side

take and transform

There were a few words uttered from inside a dimly lit room where I happened to find myself at one point in time. It was said with a matter of fact 'this is just a simple biology lesson - nothing new here' tone whilst at the same time sounding extremely ludicrous and ridiculous. Somehow what was being discussed had several layers and hidden meaning behind it. Size of a particular organ somehow influences the fidelity of that particular individual. Could that be true? One's faith in one's partner is determined by the size one's testes? It's a bewildering sort of statement - size matters. The bigger the organ the less faithful to one partner, however, in terms of the 'selfish' gene argument there would be an increase in the amount of faith one had for propagating the gene.

The trouble with this sort of theory is that it only seems to work for the male species - what about women who lack the organ altogether - does that make them unable to be faithful altogether?
