Beyond the Clouds

Wistfully longing it weren't so

some questions

,

let's assume that we aren't whole. We are creatures that are finite and temporally and historically situated. We are imperfect and fallible because we are incomplete. And we know that we are in a dying process, that is with each passing day we are moving towards death.

The word heal means to be whole. Is this possible? Can we ever be healed? And let's not confuse heal with cure. There may not be a cure but many people have been healed in the process of dying.

Salvation is the promise to humanity of being made whole, of being and feeling fulfilled. How and when does this happen? Can it happen before we die?

Everything. Everything having begin has it's own end. And our bodies are complete. Think about your mind, there shouldn't be fear of death. We have low mental level. Just. And why do you want to live in this hell sooooo long time? Don't you want to rebirth on another, higher planet?

Sure, and I'm sure there are some people around who don't fear death (or say that they don't) BUT . . . I'm not one of them. I'm not quite sure I understand fully what you are saying. Sorry, would you mind explaining this a bit more?

Only if you are true for yourself you can answer why you want to live forever. Mind afraid to die and it heared that soul is immortal.
For example, Buddha is not body right? His body (even his body!) dies and after sometime he born again. Does he need immortal body if his soul immortal?

Did you read Bhagavat Ghita? It's best book to understand this.

Yes and yes, I'm not saying that what you are saying is incorrect, my point though is that the experience and feeling about something is often very different from the intellectual understanding. I understand with my brain that through the power of Amida Buddha's vow that I will live forever in his Pureland and that death is not to be feared. However, even though I understand though I'm a sensible rational person I've still got lots of feelings that aren't rational and so I still feel fear, pain, sorrow, grief about loss. Does that make sense to you?

Nope. Really nope since I've seen death. Everithing in our matherial world has no any cost. Just incoming and outgoing. Our treasure, our home, favorite bad, sport team, business - all this will be lost and it's not a goal to live. If these things of this matherial world make senses - you'll fear a death. Because these things fear death. They live in your head.

So do people live in and only in my head too? How can one truly say that one loves if the object of this love is only abstract? That doesn't seem very human to me.

You cann't know someone but only his reflection to your memory distorted with your mind and its stereotypes. You can love this reflection but you're unable to know REAL person. As quieter your mind so smaller distortion and you can be near this person. Only the people with enlightenment can see and feel real persons and love them as the are.
