Who is Svetikki?

My friend from Finland, Teemu, called me that way - Svetikki. It sounds very nice, I really like that. In russian if we'd like to call someone whose name is Svetlana with friendly voice, we usually name that person Svetik. And Svetikki is such a finnish-like word!
Well, I was born in the south of Russia. Rostov-on-Don city. It is located in a huge valley, which several thousands years before was the bottom of the great sea! So the soil there consists of the clay, sand and massive stratum of the shell rock. It seems unreal that so many crustaceans (helixes, crabs, shrimps etc) lived and died so their shells falling down to the bottom year after year have made such layer!
What else about my motherland? Well, in summer people there behave like the Italians and in winter they look like scandinavians! Want to know why?
It's all because of the temperature, I guess! In summer we have something like 30-35 Celsius (shade temperature) and in winter we usually have minus 10-25 Celsius. So in summer we all feel hot and try not to appear under the sun, go out mainly in the night, when it's pleasant People there have a lot of parties and dances, singing, shoutind, having fun in parks and so on... But it all changes cardinally in winter. There we get our sleighes and very warm clothes and boots. People on the streeets are very calm trying not to breathe much of freezing air, their noses are red
... and the best season here is Autumn! October is usually warm and dry, there are some rains, but not too much. Here is the photo of one October day:
I believe that the environment has a great influence on the human's temper
As about me, finally, there's not so much to tell I'm a senior student of the Don State Technical University and also is a control engineer at the laboratory of dynamics. I like to program, from ASM to PHP, i like to get results! Also I'm crazy about learning languages! 
I try to learn some of this and some of that, I speak some Suomi, some Svenska, some Norsk, some Deutsch, some Espanol... and the main thing for me is to get the right pronunciation... They all sound so beautiful! As about English, sure, it is everytime under my attack!
Oh, I like to sing a lot: it is mainly jazz ang guttering (growling)
Also I'm fond of reading, from blogs to memoirs. It's very interesting to listen or to read about the lifes of some people, especially if they are scientists, physicists (i like physics veeeery much). The last book I have read is "Surely, you're joking, Mr. Feynman" - it is full of such a delicate humor! That's what i like in books above all!
That was some kind of self-presentation To tell the truth - this is my first blog. I found that friendly place in the Internet and decided to start first blog there Thanks Opera!
