Well, I'm back, eventually. With a lot of things to write. One thing I've been asking myself is, what is an RPG? Of course it does not stand for Rocket Propelled Grenade, or simply just games that you play a role in it. Main character customizability? Flexible character progression? Finishing quests in multiple methods? Ability to alter the storyline? No matter how many there are, the sub-genre Japanese Role-playing game defies most of them, and particularly, today, it is" one of the most influential RPG of all times".

Society
Of course, I'm talking about the International Women's Day.
For the people that account up to half the population of the dominant species on Earth, cook our meals, bear our children, go to work, be employed and stay behind businessmen's success, of course, they share a great deal of making this world today. No one has to teach us about something that is too apparent, just like the sky is blue in daytime. Who the fuck would deny women's contribution except for jerks?
And certainly, considering the oppression toward women during the previous uncivilised ages of mankind, with such great devotion, it would be okay to give one out of three hundred and sixty five days to these great people. Ideas are always nice, but the problem is what action is taken?
If you are a man and it's the eighth of March, like today, then this might be one of the most sucking days of the year. Female co-workers will ask you favours (for free and without argument), your wife will ask you to cook the meal, your girlfriend will dump you if you take no action (of what you will have to figure out on your own). Your workstation might even ask you and your male colleagues to do something big and nice, and worst thing of all, someplace will even officially ban you, like
this.
Honestly, let me tell you, the whole idea sucks. One day does not change the attitude of one person about something, in this case, which are women. If we respect women and feel grateful for their doings, we will express our love throughout the year, without the need of this International Women's Day. And people, not necessarily women, take advantage of that to implement bullshit policies and takes fucking weird actions, for unknown reason.
In short, the International Women's Day does not resolve the gender equality issue. In fact, it arouses more sex discrimination, and in this case, against men.
And in case you haven't been aware of, there is also an International Men's Day, which falls on the nineteenth of November and yet to be widely observed. But what I want to say is that, UNESCO emphasizes on gender equality, but they did something that went wrong, so they did something else much similar. Sounds like 'two wrongs make a right' workw for them.
Why don't you guys just fucking erase both International Women's Day and International Men's Day, then instead create International Humans' Day? Doesn't it make more sense and normalize our lives a little better?
Anyway, all the best, ladies. And my special thanks if you don't join any sex discrimination.
SL is a man who treats woman with full respect and honors gender equality. He feels outrageous when someone classifies women are always like this, men are always like that in all areas of life. He is also fond of ladies who can wield a gamepad.

Seriously, there is not much she can enjoy with a PS2
Image from Families.comIn the previous post, I have mentioned the fate of comics which is completely ignored by the mass audience. Video games are currently in a much similar situation due to its inaccessibility. But if it is not the audience's fault, is it because of game designers are not working hard enough to make game more appeal and accessible?

In a time where production cost, CGI, viral marketing and promotion deny what make a great movie, as being evident with the recent buzz of James Cameron's Avatar, it is extremely relieved to learn that there are still some smart people at Hollywood who are capable of making awesome movies out of $30m.

Ever wonder what comes after death? Well, you've got a chance to see one in this classic adventure game. For a genre that is dying, you won't definitely find any recent release popular. Adventure game has been dying so badly that you will have trouble looking for someone who has actually played the genre, especially when you ask for advice. And most GOTY awards these days has ceased to include an 'adventure' genre on the list. But dead or not, every genre has its glorious days of power and revolution, and today I give you one of those.

A multi-million dollar bounty is put on the head of a VIP and takes the notice of more-than-one notorious contract killers. The bounty also required the target to be taken out at a specific time and a specific location. Needless to say, the target is also put under extreme protection by local security and governmental FBI agents. Can you imagine the chaos of the death hour?

So this is the post you've been looking for, but it is not as what you think. Now I want you to read several articles. I mean seriously, if you're a game designer, even you are some kind of veterans, especially if you are a professor lecturing about video games to 18-year-old-kids and responsible for the coming generation of game designers. In case you're just someone not-so-serious interested, then go on and I'll try to summarize a few things out.
The Game Design of Art from Escapist,
Chris Hecker's speech at IGDA Leadership Forum and
a bet from a video game designer.
