Yesterday my husband took the day off, we had a meeting downtown San Diego. The meeting was at 3:00pm. We got there around noon, so we did a bit of shopping at Horton Plaza, then we walked around the Gas Lamp Quarter, one of our favorite spots. We stopped in at the Irish Deli had a nice lunch and read the Reader. It was such a nice day there, weather was warm a bit breezy. We didn't have time to go to the bay this trip. When we do we always stop at Anthony's Fish Grotto for dinner. We love walking along pacific hwy, where all the cruise ships, and the famous Star of India are.
Next month we are going to Ranchita Rocks Music Fest. There is going to be 60 bands, 6 stages in 3 days. This is an outdoor music benefit show. There will also be comedy shows, Ruby the Fire Breathing Fire Truck and some aerial performers. It will be held at a ranch, and this is the second annual benefit music fest. I't going to be a blast!

pala biker run, the hideout, clutch, Sandra

What a weekend! Sat morning we had a meeting, in regards to the opening of our new store. Then we took off on our Harley to a fundraiser in Pala, ca. We stayed at the Hotel Casino there, was a blast! we had the nicest spacious room, hung out at the pool, and the poolside bar. We even took the time to ride to the Pala tourmaline mine, where we sifted though a bucket of sand,rock looking for those precious stones. We found a few small ones. Then Sunday after we checked out we rode to La Jolla Indian reservation, where there is camping and a river where you can rent innertubes and float down the river. Lastly, we stopped at the Hideout, near Lake Henshaw, it's a biker bar, but very nice, "Old West" theme. There were many bikers there, enjoying conversation and lunch. A band was setting up for some good music. Then we headed on home.

HEY FOLKS! GOING TO BE OPENING A NEW STORE SOON! THIS IS GOING TO BE ANOTHER ADVENTURE FOR US. WE ARE VERY EXCITED! OVER THE WEEKEND WE ATTENDED A BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR A VERY DEAR FRIEND OF OURS. HE IS A WORLD RENOWNED ARTIST, A MASTER IN HIS FIELD. THE EXCLUSIVE PARTY WAS HELD IN PALM SPRINGS. THERE WERE MANY OTHER ARTISTS THERE! WE WENT SWIMMING. THE WORKS OF ART THIS MAN HAD IN HIS HOME WAS ABSOLUTLEY INCREDIBLE. WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. THANK YOU DENNIS FOR HAVING US IN YOUR HOME.

Sandra, face painting, synna
Well here I go again. I am going to start face painting. Been doing it for a while, then took a break. Just got my new brushes, and case with all the new glitters, stensils, tattoos. I have been asked to do some classes. I will be teaching some summer school classes etc. Next year I will start face painting at birthday parties, community events in different cities. It's a blast! Soon I will be posting some pics of the faces I paint, and some of the events that I will be working at.

OKAY, WE WENT ON THE LAUGHLIN RUN. OMG!! WHAT A RUSH THAT WAS LOL!. NICE RIDE, WILL DO IT AGAIN I'M SURE. WE SPENT A BIT MORE TIME IN OUR ROOM LOL.....YOU GET THE PICTURE! THERE WERE TONS OF VENDORS, VERY NICE ROOM ON THE 19TH FLOOR OVER LOOKING THE BEAUTIFUL COLORADO RIVER. MET SOME REALLY NICE RIDERS FROM ALL OVER THE US. FOOD AT THE RIVERSIDE BUFFET WAS ABSOLUTLEY WONDERFUL. EVERYONE WAS NICE AND GRACIOUS. WE REGISTERED FOR THE HARLEY GIVE AWAY, ALSO WE HAD VIP SECURED PARKING FOR OUR HARLEY. THE WEATHER WAS NICE, NOT TOO HOT. WE BOTH GOT A BIT SUNBURNED ON THE WAY BACK. I THINK NEXT YEAR WE WILL GO TO THE YUMA AZ RUN. WE WERE TOLD BY OTHER BIKERS THE YUMA RUN IS PRETTY AWESOME. WELL THATS ABOUT IT FOR NOW. LOOKING FORWARD TO OUR NEXT TRIP.
