Peace River Valley BC Site C Dam _ NOT required

[Site C will destroy 80 kilometers of this!]

To: Government of British Columbia….RE: Peace River Valley Site C dam project

Build Site ‘C’?…Warning….Better not. Your white elephant will crucify you.
On Monday it was 6 Billion$, then Wednesday, the minister on CBC’s BC Almanac said 8 Billion$

Tip... of the new iceberg.
This is why massive power projects may be massive mistakes. Business wants to sell you your own power plant. Have you met the Bloombox yet?

An ambitious project was unveiled in Germany on Wednesday to install mini gas-fired power plants in people's basements and produce as much electricity as two nuclear reactors in the coming years.
The Hamburg-based renewable energy group Lichtblick and its automaker partner Volkswagen say the plants would produce not only heating and hot water but also electricity, with any excess power fed into the local grid.

I don’t like their business model...they want to lease..not sell. However, when the tech gets good and small, and it will soon, you can say goodbye to site C dam or wind farms, power stations, towers, transformers and monthly bills.

Your heating is included in the unit, so no oil bills either.

This is just one example. There are others. I chose this one because ya gotta think reality when Volkswagon talks.

BC's Gordon Campbell sudden urge to build the massive site C dam may be EGO. Makes no sense.

The aluminium plant left Kitimat. They didn't take the power dam with them. Cooking bauxite for aluminium takes massive amounts of power. That power now goes to the grid. No power shortage in BC! A big new power dam is going in near Prince Rupert. Site C is not required!

California is a Billion-plus dollars behind in paying for past energy. If we build Site C for them, will we ever collect? California could declare bankruptcy at any time.

Home power plants will become common in California. The first place where new technology is usually most likely to become popular. Site C ain't clean if it ain't needed.

How long before you can by your all-in-one power / heating plant at Canadian Tire?..

PS: Subtract from power demand all the new efficient appliance and equipment that is replacing the old, every day and on-going. The installation of roof top solar that is all the craze with massive incentives in Ontario. Incentives for home based power in British Columbia makes sense as there is no need to build power stations, high tension towers, up and down stepping transformer equipment, and all the expensive unionized staff to operate and upkeep that investment. Wind farms?…Silly!! TG
