As you may know the Omelion bug tracker was offline for months. I found some time to reinstall it on another server. Feel free to fill it with all your Omelion skin related bug reports, hehe. As I'm still traveling it may take some time until I can fix them all. I also installed a new spam filter. Your tickets may land in the spam box. Don't worry I'll moderate them. Don't forget to report your related OS version "Omelion (Windows)" and/or a screenshot, please.

The next final version 0.9.8.7 is availabe now.

The big news are that from now on there are two versions of Omelion available. The second version is a native Linux edition. Actually I don't wanted to publish more than one skin, but because of some Opera design limitations I changed my mind. So, if you are a Linux-Fan your Omelion skin for your dark or light desktop is here.

Notice: Because of a server problem are all Omelion websites offline (homepage, ticket server) If you need help or want to submit bugs use the comments here, please.

Update: There was a problem when exporting the Beta 1 from internal SVN, so here the Beta 2 with all graphics. All Tabs are beta state, especially left, right and bottom ones. It's still BEta and will be for the next weeks.

This is a quick and dirty Omelion 0.9.8.6 BETA hack. I don't want to let you wait 2 more weeks to get the Opera 11 Omelion Tabs back... As I haven't much time to get it right it's not in SVN and not polished as I want it to be, but it should be useable. Have a nice Christmas

Your last positive comments motivated me so much the last two days, that I have taken my time and developed Omelion any further. We are now at version 0.9.8.4



This version brings you a new Opera 11 extensions dialog, a more pixel perfect interface, new neat buttons, nicer scrollbars, better readable dialogs and a fixed Tab behavior. Ups, today I'm well motivated to design new Opera UI visions. I like the panel, but I also know, many of my friends don't use it. They even don't know about it's existence, what a shame:( Ok, I'm talking off topic ...
Because I have so much fun in designing new visions of some new Opera UI features today, I redesigned the OperaUnite panel in a way I wish it can be designed So here is my 2nd one:



Here you can see a new Unite Profile inside the first accordion folder. This is a tiny summary of the actual Unite states and actions. On the right, you see the MyOpera account and its state. Below there you see the Unite-Logfile. It's scrolling the newest actions. The two right handed columns show you the Unite network traffic.

In the next accordion folder "Unite Applications" you'll see all installed Unite applications and their actual network traffic. Clicking the green icon on the left stops or runs this application.The last menu folder is showing your Unite friends. Here you'll find their Unite state, shares and homepage.

We'll see what's Opera showing us at 14th October this year. This announcement motivates me to speculate more. What's your assumption ... ?

PS: I haven't forgotten Omelion 0.9.8.3 ... but I'll wait until the next big snapshot release

With the newest 10.70 snapshot Opera changed the old Personal Bar to the new Bookmarks Bar. I implemented this new feature to Omelion 0.9.8.2b.

The new Omelion Skin version 0.9.8.2 is now 10.70 compatible. I'm testing it's usability now. I think, the new version will be published the next weekend. Here a little preview of the new Omelion Mail Accordion menu:

For this release I decided to improve Omelion's usability even more. There are 61 new icons now. Most of them within Opera Mail and some of them are anywhere else


Omelion has more than 400(!) icons now!

This was much work ... ... but designing Icons is so much fun

I'll hope, they are well usable and will improve your Mail and Opera experience even more ... I'm still in icon development, but I think sometimes there are to much icons. I deleted some of them. The upper screenshot is some hours older than the final release of 0.9.8.0 now.

This version is also prepared for the upcoming Opera 10.60 release and the new "O-Menu". Custom buttons have a nicer bookmark icon and the new thumbnails are improved.


I revised and redesigned many icons for better recognizability and fun


The new mail icons improve Opera Mail even more. Your Followed Threads, Disabled Threads and Replies are


The lower statusbar is more useable for your buttons and icons now.
