BUT TO DO THAT WE NEED TO GET NOT ONLY THE WORD ABOUT MY OPERA OUT BUT TO MAKE MY OPERA A BETTER PLACE TO COME TO
SO LETS STOP AND THINK OF WHAT WE THE MEMBERS WOULD LIKE TO SEE MY OPERA ADD OR FIX
WE'VE ALL SEEN THE GLITCHES AND WHAT NOT
BUT THEY SEEM TO STAY FOR WEEKS OR EVEN MONTHS ON END
WILL THIS POST PLZ REPOST ANY GLITCH'S YOU FIND
AND THING OF NEW STUFF YOU THINK MY OPERA SHOULD TRY AND ADD

REMEMBER THAT MY OPERA CAN NOT ADD EVERY THING
SOME THINGS ARE JUST PLNE NOT GOING TO HAPPEN

BUT YOUR THOUGHS ARE ALL WAYS WANTED
AND IAM SHOUR MY OPERA WOULD LOVE TO SEE WHAT YOUED LIKE TO ADD TO MY OPERA

You got any members of this group who are also members of the official Feedback group to report bugs and suggest new features?

If not I'll forward anything I see here to the Feedback group so the Opera staff are more aware of them.

CAPITALS (all written in LARGE letters, see wikipedia.org) are pretty hard to read and in internet context are often used to "yell".

No problem.

I would like to see an improved subscription management. It drives me mad, when I search for a subscription... topics, blogs, albums... all mixed up. That's not easy to manage.

A small filter would be fine for that.

It does make it more difficult. It's the web equivalant of a child's first writing. A caps protector would automatically change it to better formatted text, but can mess with links.

Just tell them that nobody is really Elite (1337 = LEET = elite), until finishing the game "Elite" with status "Elite". Then they are all out, trust me. I was only "Very dangerous" after 7 months.

Been there, done that. 17 months of my life on my high school's BBC computers. Campaigning to get the original released on mobiles and XLA.

I usually tell them they don't count as elite unless they've never called someone a Noob.

Try the link Schalandra put up a couple of comments ago. Elite is the first real free roaming game. More to it than all current generation console games put together and it was about 8kb in size.

As you have already posted on my site, you must know why I am posting this comment but for the sake of public info: I would like an option to restrict who is adding me to their site...I don't think this is too much to ask..I just don't want to end up as a so called friend to a pedophile or drug addicts or whatnot..and I feel that this is a rather basic thing to request since I can't think of a blog site that doesn't offer that..and thank you Schalandra for understanding this

It's a good suggestion.

I'd provide 3 options to it: "Allow everybody to put me on his friendslist", "Only put me on a list, when I confirm", "Never put me on any list".

Then I'd be happy too.

you do under stand iam not a my opera mod right i only made this group to HELP the modes as much as i could

in no way do i clam to be or have ever work for or with a my opera mode
all though i would some day like to be a my opera mode but ill leave that for a later date in time

so plz under stand i cant do any thing big
all i can do is give your seggestions to a my opera mode and hope to get a replay

Most of the serious stuff here has already been posted in the Feedback group forums anyway. I wouldn't go continually mailing the mods with suggestions by the way. They've got enough to do trying the keep the place running. You wouldn't believe how many people have to get banned from a site like this every day, and there's always more. Best bet for you is to mention them in the Site Feedback forum, seperate topic per suggestion, and be careful not to make too many at once.

like i said iam just a member
i have no power here you modes do
i but still i can at lest help make my opera a better place
take some of the miner thing that a member can do like giveing out advice like this
and get people new ways to protect them self from spammers scammers and hackers
that is what ill do to help !!!

and this group was just set up to help with spam but as you see its has come very far from that in a short time
and i hope to get this group to be one of the primer groups for help people one day

all i can do is help
and if that never changes fine by me ill still help

Haven't seen a mod on this post yet.

We're all just members, with very different agendas and backgrounds that tend to come together in the focus of this post.

I have early access to a forum where ideas for improvements to the site are requested by moderators, you guys want your ideas out there. If I see something good here I'll post it and credit the one with the original idea.

Personally I don't want OC to become a leader in online blogging. Take a look at the leading social networking sites and you'll soon see why. I'm happy with the little community we've got now, but new features are always a good thing. The more tools we have, the better we can use them.

I've had a hand in the creation and maintenance of three pretty successful groups here. Plus I've got the only group dedicated to stalking and hating a member that wont get taken down.

I've got enough group memberships at the moment and having trouble editing them so I'm not joining any. Thanks for the offer though. I'm not sniffing for another group mod status either (though I'm sure you'll get plenty of people who are), but I'll send you something you might find helpful sometime. Got a busy Friday through Wednesday though so it'll have to be late next week.

Until then you can find some helpful info in the Page Highlights section of the sidebar on my blog. I suggest the brand identity and CSS posts. They can help you really get this group looking and feeling the way you want it to.
