Almost ten commandments for cell phone users

, ,

Thou shall not submit innocent bystanders to thine conversations.

Thou shall never under any circumstances use La Coucaracha as thine ring tone.

Thou shall never use thy cell phone while driving thine vehicle. Seriously folks that stupidity has got to stop.

Never speak louder on thy cell phone than thy would any other phone.

Never slam thine cell on a public table.

Learn how to use thine cell phones vibrate feature for something other than thine sexual gratification.
(I don't wanna know...but I Googled it so I do know..BLECH!)

Thou shall not covet thy neighbors cell phone.

Thou shall not worship thy cell phone provider.

Thine voice mail need not reveal thine life story. Be considerate and keep thine greeting short.

Red in the face.

Since I don't have anything insightful to blog about tonight, I thought I might share one of my most embarasing moments with you.

* I frequently take the bus to get to Mug's place and the bus I take is always packed.

This particular day was no different. I had to stand the entire journey (roughly 45 minutes) as the seats were all occupied. I noticed several people staring at my hiney, I didn't think much of it and got off the bus and walked the short walk to Mug's place.

I walked in and said hello...and Mugs responded by telling me I might want to change my pants. Turns out I had somehow managed to completly tear the ass out of my pants.. Now I understood the snickers! My ass was swaying in the wind and I hadn't even felt a breeze!

There's also the fact that clothing confuses me. I always mange to wear something inside out or backwards..or worse inside out and backwards..

I used to wear thongs..but I find them way to confusing and ussually end up wearing a leg hole around my waist..and the tiny bow that accents the front ussually ends up accenting my thigh...which is always laughable. Hey if ya can't laugh at yourself who can ya laugh at!

Fair is fair..fess up! I wanna know your most embarassing moment.

Good to be back!

, , , ...

With the recent purchase of my LG Keybo I am able to blog from virtually anywhere. The very first thing I did was install Opera mini... I am completely impressed with how mini incorperates my beloved speed dial. As I've said many times I have come to expect nothing but the very best from Opera.

I owe you guys a huge thank you for keeping my grandmother in your prayers. I have to tell you that she has improved greatly although still terminal it's nice to see that she isn't suffering like she was.

I haven't got any great plans for today..looks like it might rain so I'm going to suck down the rest of my coffee and go finish cutting the lawn.

Enjoy your day!

just another day

Today wasn't nearly as exciting as yesterday. The kidlets got on the right bus and safely to the right school..

I did my laundry..( I'm by no means fond of doing laundry but I don't share Mug's contempt for the chore) I picked up a few items for supper- chicken, salad stuff and an apple pie.

I went home and decided to walk my dog. We wound up down by the river where we contemplated great things...like -how come those two city workers are fast asleep in their truck..and how do I get a job like that?

I returned home and started up the BBQ...and started supper. I wasn't particularly hungry so I watched everyone else eat. (Mark it on the calender Mugs...I wasn't hungry!)

Now I have to tuck the kids in and I think I'll curl up with a book and read myself to sleep.

Good night...sweet dreams.

Back to school

, , ,

I was up at 6 am this morning to enjoy a steaming cup of coffee and some quiet time before waking the kids at 7 am.

The first day back to school is always hecktic and this year proved to be no different.

Everyone was up and dressed and ready to go by 8:15 and my older ones left, headed down the road to catch their bus at 8:30.

I told the younger three to go ahead outside and I'd be along momentarily. I slipped on my sneakers and headed out after them.

When I got out the door my kids were gone. I realised that they had gotten on the wrong bus, headed for the wrong school!

After heading to the school to find out where exactly my children were, I headed back home and waited for a phone call to find out what school the kids eventually got to.

Turns out they wound up in another community about 15 km away. Thankfully their dad went and got them and reurned them to to their own school.

That is our little adventure for today...let's hope we get it right tommorow!

Cheesed off!

Here's what has me bitching-
I opened my mail box yesterday and as I sorted through bills don't want to pay, I noticed a document from the Ontario Government. The document had a telehealth fridge magnet glued to it..as.if I acctually care...but here's the problem...not one word of English on the document or the magnet, and no English copy in my mailbox. IF the reverse were true and the document was in complete English, some from the French population would raise hell and it would be all we'd hear about for weeks...Yes I'm frustrated and now insulted by the Ontario government because I AM NOT FRENCH!
