Happy halloween guys!
I woke up this morning to a very wet and windy day which is a total bummer because the kids may not be able to trick or treat espeecially since they've all got sore throats.
The up side is that we won't have to hear or see the word 'spooktacular' for another year.
There are some parties going on in Rockland tonight so maybe I'll dress up and go to Gabs (local bar) I don't drink but it might fun...

This halloween I asked the kids to come up with their own costumes.
Danika decided to be a dead teenage boy...That was easy, some of her brothers clothes and makeup by Amanda.
Matthew wanted to be a clown. I think he's the cutest clown ever!
Jacob wanted to be a woman. Amanda did his makeup and chose clothes for him from her wardrobe. He is wearing a pair of 1" heels, and having fun with that!
Amanda and Branden decided not to dress up this year. I think they have outgrown trick or treating.
I'm definately trick or treating this year. I'll be wearing a ball gown, makeup and a ruby coloured eye mask. I plan on raking in all that candy goodness. YUM!
I had to go into town to do my laundry at the laundramat yesterday, the kids had no school so Amanda, Matt and Jake came along.
I finished the laundry and we all crammed into the little Escort and headed home.
Suddenly Steph (kids dad) swerves into oncoming traffic on the 174.. Realizing what he had done he swerved back into the proper lane. I asked Steph what was up with that...and he said...
"I THOUGHT I SAW A MOUSE RUNNING ACROSS THE HIGHWAY!"..
"OK so you could have killed me and three children for a mouse!!
He looked at me and said...."Ya, wierd huh?"
The worst was that it wasn't a mouse at all...it was a wind swept leaf!!!
He can't accidently kill a mouse but plans on hunting next year!

Jake and Niki were confirmed yesterday. I unfortunately missed the ceremony, because I didn't want to go to church and cough and hack throughout.
Afterwards everybody went for lunch, at the local diner. The kids had a great day, unfortunately I was unable to to be a part of it.
Amanda took pctures for me. She left to go up North (Kapuskasing) with her father last night. They should be back on Thursday or Friday.
I'll be buying an Xbox 360 on Thursday, the kids are getting excited! I sooo want to play Overlord! I have played it a bit on Mugs' PC, but he gets frustrated because I am the most directionally challenged person ever.
I managed to get a lot of work done today. I was feeling productive. With the renovations going on in my place the dust is insane. I can't wait until all the work is done so I can post pictures for my most awesome friends here on Opera!

We have the data to back up our fears, and we have the science to justify the billions of dollars Governments around the world are spending to elicit change.
But what if we're wrong?
I do believe climate change is occurring, but is the planet actually warming?
One of the world's leading climate modelers, Professor Mojib Latif, from the Leibniz Institute of Marine Sciences at Kiel University in Germany says the latest data indicates we could be in for a significant period of steady temperatures and possibly even global cooling!
Everyday we are assaulted with information concerning global warming, but what if global warming isn't happening? What if instead we are faced with a mini ice age?
There has been no (statistically significant) warming for the past 13 years. [Using the satellite records of the lower atmosphere].
Satelite records indicate that our planet has been cooling rapidly for the past 8 years.
The animated graph shows the temperature difference between the two 5-year periods 1999-2003 and 2004-2008. The largest warming has occurred over the Arctic in the past decade
