Random Ramblings

of a mother of five!

My itty bitty Mandy.

, , , ,

My Amanda isn't so little anymore.
Hard to believe she was born 3 months preterm and weighing 1 pound 12 ounces.

When using her cell the other day I noticed a google search she had done..
"Hot naked men"
Yay! My daughter is straight was my first thought..then I decided not to mention it to her. I figured the look but don't touch rule applies here.

Happy Halloween!A birthday smoke

You should have added a couple of sites she hadn't found.

LOL

Tabmartel 1. November 2009, 17:31

Hahaha that would have been fantastic!

Flying Red Fox Blog 1. November 2009, 18:31

L2D2 1. November 2009, 18:40

 I appreciate your warped values Tab! Instead of being upset that your daughter is accessing porn sights, you are happy to know she is straight (which is a bonus these days) p:

Tabmartel 1. November 2009, 20:16

 @ warped values!

She's 16 and curious...that's completely normal, so I am not upset at all.

She could do far worse things than admiring male human bodies.

Tabmartel 1. November 2009, 20:46

:lol::lol @ google boobies at my computer:lol::lol:

I don't google men...I tried to once and all that came up were gay porn images That so doesn't float my boat!

L2D2 1. November 2009, 21:06

I tried looking for male nudes when I first got my PC. Got same thing you did. Also, popups from every porn site on internet I think (had downloaded adware and too ignorant to know it.

Anyway, once I got all that sorted out, I decided if I wanted to see nude men, it would have to be in real life.

L2D2 1. November 2009, 21:07

Maybe not as pretty, but much safer.

Tabmartel 1. November 2009, 21:31

Exactly...for me my man is perfect, because he's touchable and looks at me admiringly...

derWandersmann 1. November 2009, 22:51

Googling "porn for women" seems promising ... I didn't take the time to explore the results.

Tabmartel 2. November 2009, 00:04

Olgita 2. November 2009, 14:18

wow!
I liked your first thought!!!!!

I would think something another I guess.... something like "Oh My God!!!"

Tabmartel 2. November 2009, 15:17

Kids will be kids, and given the ability they will explore their curiosity.

I remember finding a playgirl magazine at around the same age and drooling over the centerfold...(John Denver stark naked gleefully perched on bales of straw.)
How gross is that!!

Olgita 4. November 2009, 20:41

Hehe! And I one day found one book.... Emmanuel it called

Tabmartel 4. November 2009, 21:20

:o:

L2D2 5. November 2009, 00:38

John Denver posed NEKKID? Well, I never! :sst: Can you tell me which one it was in?

Tabmartel 5. November 2009, 00:51

Nah...long time ago!

Sorry

L2D2 5. November 2009, 00:52

Googled 'FREE PORN FOR WOMEN' we ladies apparently gotta pay for the priviledge of seeing a naked man.. I'm just not that desperate!

angel292005 8. November 2009, 22:28

To me...going through my daughter's cell phone is like going through her diary..and I don't do that. (Karen can attest that I don't use her cell phone, lol) Anyway...we have to give our girls some privacy..bringing it up would have broken trust in my opinion.

Oh...also...if us as parents are paying for the internet use, it means that we have trusted them in the first place to use it.

I am also weird in this way...I don't enjoy looking at naked men. The male body can be in almost any form to me (except for really fat) and it makes not difference to me. As long as he has a great personality and a sparkling smile.

Tabmartel 8. November 2009, 22:53

If I didn't trust her she wouldn't have a cell phone at all, but at the same time she is a teenage girl with unsupervised access to the internet. I do check what she is doing online, not because I don't trust her but because there are millions of people on line I don't trust and young girls are great targets.

I would never read my daughters diary. Her diary doesn't put her in contact with strangers. Even my computer is in the dining room so I can supervise what the kids are doing online.

Anyway I look at it, she is a child, and no matter how much I trust her, I feel supervision is still a must.

You're right there, Tab. There's been plenty of stories about it.

A diary is indeed private and like you said, safe.
I commited fraude to get my girls an account someplace, well, I "adjusted" the dates of birth. For some reason it required the age of 18, and I just couldn't figure out why.
It was to play some flash ( like in the app ) game on FB.
I can trust them not to add strangers to their list, and I made sure no one could contact them via IM.
Be it that they have been warned about that too. That being said, I can access their friend lists their, to check, but I haven't so far.

Tabmartel 9. November 2009, 12:19

My kids freely provide me their passwords as well. They understand that I require this information because I do need to know who is contacting my kids online.
