Cheesed off!

,

Here's what has me bitching-
I opened my mail box yesterday and as I sorted through bills don't want to pay, I noticed a document from the Ontario Government. The document had a telehealth fridge magnet glued to it..as.if I acctually care...but here's the problem...not one word of English on the document or the magnet, and no English copy in my mailbox. IF the reverse were true and the document was in complete English, some from the French population would raise hell and it would be all we'd hear about for weeks...Yes I'm frustrated and now insulted by the Ontario government because I AM NOT FRENCH!

So the tulip festival has ended....the tulips bloom on.Back to school

Picket the place.

Also ... Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality series is really good ... and when you read them, be sure to read his comments.

I have always enjoyed Piers Xanthony. I am severly tempted tp picket something. LOL.

Telehealth falls under that scandal ridden health ministry, they don't do much of anything right.

Mail it back at them with a big fat ENGLISH please on it.

I will be dropping in on on my provincial MP tommorow and inquiring/complaining as you suggested Mugs.

I recieved a second one today, also entirely in French. I'm begining to wonder if English copies were even printed!

Yeah, I'd be a tad insulted as well. How flippin' rude.

I get mail that's in Spanish all the time. It REALLY pisses me off. The national language is English...GOSH! :irked:

Tab 29. August 2009, 01:07

Omg...spanish?
Good to see ya karen!

Karen 29. August 2009, 03:26

Yeah! We have lots of Mexicans who come up here for seasonal work in the orchards. I guess people seem to think that Spanish is now our national language around here.

Nice to see you, too!

I once read a statistic (for what stats are worth) that claimed that two thirds of legal residents of the USA spoke spanish as their first language. :left:.
I was under the impression that Canada was a Bi-lingual country, surely the leaflets should bare both languages?.

Tab 29. August 2009, 08:57

We are apparently bilingual...however this particular province tends to favor French...Canada takes great pleasure in bending to every threat and demand made by seperatest Quebecers.

Simply put, this is just another slap in the face to the English population. We are alredy told we don't matter every time we are declined a job based on our language. If people don't demand change though...nothing will change-it'll only worsen.

Nice to see ya Qlue.
