Bandit- such a cutie

Bandit is such a sweet little rat.

He is one of Tiktak's sixteen babies from last year. We kept them all.

This guy is such a friendly, happy boy who loves people and attention.

I haven't posted a picture of any of our rats in a very long time but I could resist posting this picture of our Bandit.

Definitely a cutie! Pet rats are fun. Never owned one, but played with ones friend's had.

There are only two drawbacks to owning rats

1) If left unsupervised they will chew anything. I don't have a single set of bedsheets that aren't chewed. It's my fault, the safest area in the house for them to play is the bedroom.

2) They are the friendliest, cuddliest little animals and bond with their owners very muchso like dogs, this means forming a close relationship with animals that have very short life spans. 2 years just isn't long enough.

Otherwise these animals have it all..personality, playfulness, and ultra sweet personalities.

We lost one today. He died in my arms..am taking it very hard, and I've been crying most of the night....
I'll miss the little guy.

Yes, that is always so hard. I still cry when I remember some of my babies that have died over the years.

Oh Olga!

There is nothing to be afraid of with these little guys. They would lick his nose then curl up on his lap and sleep.
