I didn't hate my name as a kid, as a teen or now.

I never use my full name (Tabatha) and always politely correct those who do call me Tabatha.

I once heard a story about Ahmet Zappa. Seems he came home from school very sad one day, and his father said "What's the matter, boy?"

"The kids at school are making fun of my name," says Ahmet. "They're calling me 'Ahmet Vomit'."

Dad asks "What would you like to do about it?"

"I think I'll change my name to Rick," says Ahmet.

The next day, young Rick comes home from school with a sad look on his face.

"What's wrong?" asks has dad.

"I'm going to go back to being Ahmet." says Rick. "The kids called me 'Rick Dick'."

It doesn't matter what your name is. Assholes will figure out how to push your buttons if you let them.

Probably Matt..but I think she prefers brute force.

My brothers name is Richard Karen, but oddly enough nobody has ever called him Dick. :lol:

My other brother changed his name from Eric to Indianna...like seriously dude..gimme a break!

My Uncle's name is Richard. I keep telling my Mom that I'm going to refer to him as "Uncle Dick" in an email...but she's threatened to light my mattress on fire while I sleep if I do. :D
