how do i disable these gestures?
"Preferences -> Advanced -> Shortcuts -> Enable mouse gestures" is NOT checked, but those gestures are still working.
i have no mouse or touchpad for my laptop - i use trackpoint and Opera sometimes thinks, that it should go "back" when scrolling down, it is annoying, because then i have to go forward again and still have to scroll down. scrolling down means pressing middle button and moving cursor down. i have tested other gestures - hold right button and press left button- it goes "back", hold left button and press right button - it goes "forward", holding right button and scrolling - it cycles through tabs. and it all works, while that "enable mouse gestures" is not checked.
how do i really disable them?
i have Ubuntu 9.10

found it, trackpoint throws events with buttons 6 and 7 when middle button is held down. and opera has back and forward gestures mapped to that buttons. see
