Did you restart Opera?

Diego1981 Tuesday, February 6, 2007 9:06:40 PM

Yeah and it stays the same.

Does it need to be in a certain folder, have a certain extension or be a certain size?

It's these ones I'm trying to make work.

I do not seem to find this option in Opera 9.5. Any ideas? It would be useful for my attempt at turning Opera into a Site-Specific Browser. http://my.opera.com/jegHegy/blog/opera-as-site-specific-browser

There are various utilities for patching the embedded *.ico files inside *.exe files in Vista generally. However, somebody still has to do the art work to make a modified Opera icon. Since an ICO file contains several resolutions, it is more work than you might first think. I thought perhaps the Opera O in orange shades would be good for Beta.

You can also tell Vista to change the icon for a shortcut.

The proper solution is for the Opera folk to create a beta icon and build it in fully everywhere so you can tell beta apart from production.

There are so many skilled skin makers. Surely one of them could contribute a Beta icon, maybe even make it, and the production icon part of the skin.
