How to disable check for new version of Opera?

By default, Opera checks for update every week and notifies you when there is an update.

Notification message
For Opera version 9
Set Check For New Opera to 0.
For Opera version 8
Note the path to Opera directory by clicking this. Close Opera, go to Opera directory, open opera6.ini and change value of Check For New Opera to 0 under [User Prefs].

Haven't found this in Opera 10. But seems it is now included in about:config, Auto Update, Auto Update State. I set it to 0.

Tools> Preferences> Advanced> Security....
theres a option for auto update in the bottom...
This worked for me...

ебать капать у меня опера не пашет! при обновлении ошибку выдаёт! заебала уже! что мне делать?
