Apollia writes: I was looking for the same thing, Charlene. I just now figured it out. Go to the Tools menu, select the Preferences menu item, and then in the window that comes up, click the Advanced tab. Then, in the list that will appear at the left side of the window, highlight Shortcuts (it's near the bottom). Right at the top is a checkbox which says "Enable mouse gestures". To get rid of mouse gestures, you'll want to uncheck that. There's a screenshot of what window and checkbox I mean right at the top of the guide page this blog post links to - http://my.opera.com/Tamil/blog/show.dml/55311. Hope that helps. :-) As for me - I'm so happy to see that it's possible to add and delete particular mouse gestures, that though I myself was originally going to turn off mouse gestures altogether, instead, I think I'm going to just delete some of the nuisance mouse gestures. Like the right-click + drag down + drag right one which closes a tab, which I keep inadvertantly doing - which is really annoying when in fact I mean to do right-click + drag down to open a link in a new tab. It looks like that guide will be helpful in figuring out how to do that. Thanks, author of this blog post, and author of that guide.

JorgAdams writes: I'm using Version 9.64 (Build 10487) and I've unchecked the "Enable mouse gestures" checkbox, but I still get them. I've also tried creating my own mouse setup and deleting all the gestures, but the changes don't stick. I go back in and they're all there again. What's up with this? I hate gestures. I'm about ready to gesture Opera right off my computer.

Did you disable Enable Mouse Flips?

I never thought of combining gestures like this: "GestureRight, FlipBack". Thanks for the info!

JorgAdams writes: Thanks, Tamil. I hadn't unchecked Enable Mouse Fips, but that wasn't the only problem. I see now that the flips are not turned off with unchecking the "Enable mouse gestures" checkbox, so that explained those, but it didn't explain the other gestures I was still getting, or the fact that the mouse settings changes wouldn't stick. Now when I try, they stick okay (mostly!)*. Just one of those things where it got confused and needed a restart, I guess. * Only thing I noticed this time was that the 4 settings under Advanced->Tree Widget reappeared after the first time I deleted them, but now they stay gone after deletion. (I don't even know what they do - I was just playing around with my custom config.) Chalk it up to some bug that fixed itself on restart.

Yngve writes: I have one frustrating gripe with Opera: I have turned off mouse gestures, and mouse flips, but still when I swipe left or right on my trackpad Opera thinks I want to go back or forward. This wouldn't normally be a problem, if it wasn't for the fact that I do two finger scroll on my trackpad and so moving slightly left or right is difficult to avoid...

Hi Tamil,

'Button3 paste and go' is not working in Opera 11.5. Do you have any workaround/fix?
