To insert, right click on any text input box > Insert Personal or type first letter for drop down suggestions.

3. OpS - Opera input suggestion or Auto Fill Form User JS.

If your press down arrow in text box Opera will show both Personal Information & Notes.

Like Jogi, I have also searched the web for a solution until I ended up here. (Thank you, Tamil). The work-arounds using notes and the personal information side is just not good enough. Sad, because Opera so nice and easy to use in every other way.

I have been trying out most of the browsers and none have satisfied me completely, Opera looks to be the fasted one out of the box, but without the auto complete feature it will not be the one for me. That said the auto complete in Safari is not that super either, it works great on some sites and not on others. It seems like Firefox will be the one to use.

I wanted to give opera a shot but as it does not autofill when I login to sites, etc, I'm going to use Firefox or Chrome.

Insane that there is no autocomplete in Opera... Disappointment.

Tamil Sunday, June 6, 2010 3:04:04 PM

You can use password manager to login.

susanmj Wednesday, June 9, 2010 2:30:22 AM

I use auto-fill on quite a few sites I log into, but I'm not going to let that stop me from using Opera, especially when the main other choices are IE, or the slowest browser in the world - Firefox. Opera is the FASTEST browser I have ever seen! It stand up against IE like v-8 vs 4CYL, and as for the speed comparison against Firefox, it's just laughable. I tested both, and I visited 6 pages, fully loaded, in the time it took ONE page to fully load in Firefox.

OK, so I have type a few log-ins, not a big deal, having this kind of speed in my work and play is totally WORTH it!

I LOVE Opera! (The browser, not the fat lady singing in Italian on stage, lol)

susanmj Wednesday, June 9, 2010 2:40:17 AM

OH, and it leaves Chrome eating dust as well.

Anonymous writes: The lack of an autocomplete feature in Opera and to a lesser extent the lack of an addable download manager similar to DownThemAll in Firefox are the two main reasons why I haven't switched over to Opera permanently.

sergiol Friday, June 18, 2010 11:51:50 PM

After seeing this results, Opera people should reflect and do the feature.
Because people are just QUITTING from Opera.
If they will not implement it, they are STUPID (yes, I said it with all the letters and in CAPS!). It is to be a looser to repel millions of users, when Opera implements lots of complex things, and to fail for missing such a basic feature, that has been ubiquitously in every other browser for decades.

How to use Quote function:

  1. Select some text
  2. Click on the Quote link
