Go to a specific tab using keyboard shortcut in Opera

, , ,

Opera has the following keyboard shortcuts to switch between tabs but there is no direct keyboard shortcut to go to a specific tab.

Action Keyboard Shortcut
Cycle to next tab Ctrl + Tab
Cycle to previous tab Ctrl + Shift + Tab
Switch to next tab Ctrl + Shift + F6 or 2 !
Switch to previous tab Ctrl + F6 or 1 !

! Work only if you enable Alt + P > Advanced > Shortcuts > Enable single-key shortcuts

If you use menu bar, enable Alt + P > Advanced > Browsing > Show window menu

Otherwise create a new keyboard shortcut in application section with w alt as input context and shortcut and the following as action.

Show popup menu, "Internal Window List"
Now you can use keyboard shortcuts, Alt + W + 1, Alt + W + 2, ..., Alt + W + 9 and Alt + W + 0 to go to first tab, second tab, ..., ninth tab and tenth tab respectively.

1/2 do not work with Google Reader (the reader intercepts them). I had this handly binded to [ and ], but after clear instal it's gone; I have to bind them again.

Very nice, I also sometimes use the hold right click then use the scroll wheel on a mouse

Tamil, I can't get a new tab to open next to the tab I have open when I click a link. I tried every kind of setting.
What's the setting to get a new tab to open when you click a link?

Thank you. smile

Keys 1 and 2 FTW! I couldn't live without single-key shortcuts...
