Yeah guys, there is another type of babelfish like google's. It's at yahoo.com!!!! You just type in the words or word that you have, click on a language, (ex. German to English) and then click "Translate"!!! It gives you what you typed in and the translation so you know that you didn't mess up on anything you typed!! I use yahoo's babelfish all the time, and to be honest, (but not mean) yahoo's babelfish is even better AND quicker than google's!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D

Google and babelfish (russian and chinese) selected text translations do not work with Opera 10, am I correct?

Tamil 3. September 2009, 22:43

I have Google Translate search engine with following parameters and it works fine for selected text translations.

Address: http://translate.google.com/translate_t
Query string: hl=en&ie=UTF-8&text=%s&sl=auto&tl=en
Use POST: Enabled

combomax 4. September 2009, 12:16

I use auto translation user script. You know some cases auto translation don't work. That's why I wanted selected text translation for lang pairs. I see Opera's default babelfish translation hasn't got russian and chinese lang pairs. I added myself but they do not work. Any ideas why it doesn't work?

Item, Simplified Chinese= Hotclick search, 121

Any suggestion about Google service for selected text?

Tamil 4. September 2009, 15:31

combomax 4. September 2009, 15:41

Ouch page now opens the babelfish succesfully but language pairs always set to en-fr for ru and zh... Still need help!

Tamil 4. September 2009, 15:42

combomax 4. September 2009, 15:54

Before I delete UNIQUEID when I select a text and click russian to english from right menu page goes to google search. After your suggestion babelfish page opens but not as ru-en lang pairs selected. Instead of it, babelfish lang selection set en-fr...

Also tried this no luck.

Hi Tamil,

I need the %c to be url encoded.

to get this :
http://engdic.daum.net/dicen/search.do?endic_kind=all&m=all&q=%EB%B3%B4%EB%8B%A4

is there a way to change this %c param ?

Item, "Daum Dictionary" = copy & new page & go to page, "http:// engdic.daum.net/dicen/search.do?endic_kind=all&m=all&q=%c"
