I have had the thing enabled for a decade, and then, after an update, it's gone. It is clearly an illegal policy to make choices for the user - when there are in fact choices.

Anyway, with this address field dropdown thing they at least provided an option to get back the old behaviour. Somehow they forgot the toggle with the new big fat ugly blocked images notifier in the mail component. How to get rid of that notifier?

Doesn't it unblock remote images in email? Because this is what it sounds like. It would be most undesirable.

sad

after update also dissapeard option to remove close button from tabs

Nope, Ctrl + P > Advanced > Tabs > Additional tab options... > Show close button on each tab

inactive checkbox "remember choice" while downloading .torrent files, when opera asks for using system default client or herself.

How to change download action for a particular file type in Opera?

I was quite surprised to see that Opera disabled this button by default and that they didn't offer a user friendly solution to get it back sad . I'm seriously waiting for a good explanation from Opera because if they keep screwing up like this, they'll push people into using another browser.

Either I am blind or this option does not show up in my user prefs list. I click the link and nothing is found. Obviously, I am doing something wrong. Opera 11.50, Windows 7 Ult SP1 64-bit.

I would like this feature to be turned on - like others, I have am used to and like having it there. Oh, the Alt-down arrow does not work either.

Thanks for providing these tidbits of information, Tamil! When I do a search for how to do this or that with Opera, I am always directed to your Opera page. bigsmile

UPDATE: okay, I found it - kind of. For some reason, there is no text displayed only a check box and a question mark. When I click the question mark, I am told this is the option. So it is there but for some reason I cannot see it. Odd.

Anonymous writes: Somehow starting from 11.50, your "toggle address bar" button doesn't work smoothly, at least on Linux machine. It works at the 1st a few times, but then click the bar, the address bar won't show anymore. More annoyingly, you cannot even show the address bar explicitly by other means, such as through Alt, etc. Any thoughts?
