You should have an entry without username in Wand Manager.

I found it :-) Thanks a lot.

By "entry without username," do you mean the 'title' entry, which is like a 'directory' in which the stored username/password combinations are 'located' (that is - clicking on the 'entry without username' makes the 'entries WITH username' appear or disappear, slightly indented to the right)?
IF that's what you mean, then - nowhere does it say 'Never on entire server' - but I am using the newest version of Opera.

**If I delete the entry I indicate above, won't it delete all the usernames and passwords I've ever saved?**

Stratilatus Wednesday, November 26, 2008 2:58:05 PM

All right, I see what you mean. There's something else, then, that's preventing me from recording a new password on mail.yahoo.com via wand. What could it be?

Stratilatus Wednesday, November 26, 2008 3:01:14 PM

Could it have anything to do with the fact that there is an asterisk preceding some of the entries and absent preceding others?
What does the presence/absence of the asterisk indicate?

The one inside directory without username.

As I mentioned above 'Never on entire server' is for versions before 9.50

It will delete all.

Is there anything that would prevent the wand from recording passwords if I have NOT selected 'never again'?

And - any idea what the presence/absence of the asterisk before the username entry means?

AFAIK, nothing.

I don't know. I can see asterisk in all my username & password entry.

Stratilatus Wednesday, November 26, 2008 4:38:50 PM

Hmmm... mysterious.
Thanks, and I'll post here if a solution if found.

Hello Tamil,

First of all, thank you for your many advices!

I can't add a password in Opera wand for a site previously chosen 'Never' option, because I haven't this website.

More, in "Password manager" box I have only one button "Delete".

I haven't "Add" and "Edit" buttons...

*** So, how force Wand to save a password? ***

Thanks to help wink

Tamil Monday, February 8, 2010 12:23:15 PM

I don't know why there is no entry in password manager. confused

I haven't "Add" and "Edit" buttons...

It is removed because it wasn't for wand.

Andy123 Monday, February 8, 2010 4:37:53 PM

Hello Tamil,

Thank you for your help.

I uninstalled Opera with Revo Uninstaller (uninstall Level 4). Now, my Opera is all new wink

> I don't know why there is no entry in password manager.

Even if you erase wand.dat, it doesn't work...

Because there are a lot of wand.dat (in Program files, Roaming, and \Users\...\AppData\Local\Opera directories). If you cleanup only one, the others "come into life" automatically...

See you next time!

Every other browser has this feature to manually add more passes except opera 10. I never manually type passwords in a matter of fact i don't know even one of my logins all of them are in my auto save :)

Thank you for you post.
I am using vers. 10.53 and under forms > password manager, the website has already registered different saved passwords and there is no entry "Never on entire server". I am just able to delete the existing entries, not to activate the save password option for one special website.

Thanks

I have a site that Opera does NOT have a blank entry for, but it will also NOT save a username/password pair for. Ideas? (Opera 10.63 on Windows Vista--I have NO entry at all in Wand for that site--not one with nor one without a password... :-( )

Which site?
