How to install flash player without administrator privilege in Opera?

  1. Download Adobe Flash Player (Size < 1.5 MB).
  2. Download Universal Extractor binary archive (Size 4.44 MB), extract contents and run UniExtract.exe.
  3. Drag & drop flash player installer inside Archive/Installer to extract, press OK and again press OK.
  4. Move NPSWF32.dll from \MAINDIR\ inside Universal Extractor Destination directory to \program\plugins\ in your Opera installation directory.

Download NPSWF32.zip (NPSWF32.zip size 1.46 MB, version 9.0.124.0, NPSWF32.dll MD5 sum 72b7f936c68b8b9a1944753702e1f1ff), extract NPSWF32.dll and place it inside \program\plugins\ in your Opera installation directory.

Unpack Opera installer without installing using Universal Extractor

Download Universal Extractor binary archive (Size 4.44 MB), extract contents and run UniExtract.exe.

To unpack Opera classic installer

Drag & drop classic installer (Opera_9.10_Classic_Setup.exe) inside Archive/Installer to extract, press OK and then select WUN Unpacker as Extract Method. Files will be extracted to \MAINDIR\ inside Universal Extractor Destination directory.

Rename encoding.bin.cel to encoding.bin

To unpack Opera MSI installer

Drag & drop msi installer (Opera_9.10_International_Setup.exe or Opera_9.10_Eng_Setup.exe) inside Archive/Installer to extract and press OK.

A dialog box will come with following and press OK.
Initial extraction failed. However, it may be possible to extract files from this archive by instructing the installer to run in cache mode.

Do you wish to try this method?
Another dialog box will come in International installer) with following, select your language and press OK.
Select the language for this installation from the choices below.
A dialog box message will come with the following and press OK.
Initialization complete. Please exit the installer, then click OK to continue.
Press Cancel in InstallShield Wizard.

Run UniExtract.exe again and drag & drop Opera installer.msi from Destination directory. Files will be extracted to \program files\Opera\ inside Universal Extractor Destination directory.

Opera installation

Download classic installer & during installation, enter C:\Documents and Settings\<USER NAME>\Application Data\Opera as installation directory and uncheck Individual Opera profiles for each user on this computer option.

Change <USER NAME> with your computer username.
